dfitzo53
What do you think of Mangini's decision? Didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. First of all, you have the chance to test the mettle of some of these guys on the bubble and see what they can do with the game on the line. Second, who wants to run a preseason game any longer than it has to go? Part of me wonders if Nugent missed the kick on purpose.
Rdskn4Lyf21
He's a punkass ***** that will live in Belichick's shadow forever....I was very annoyed by the decision to go for the FG and also to go for the 4th down in the first quarter.

OK, in a regular season game, that would have been the right choice, but in a preseason game?
L30L
I think he's a mangenious. If he goes for the TD, he most likely gets it because our D was dead tired.
SkinsGlory
Yeah, pretty weird. Glad he missed.
FuriousD
I think Mangini's an 6. Do not attempt to circumvent the profanity filters. Let the filters do their job. Veiled profanity is unacceptable and got what he deserved. I would perfer the Jets punch it in with no time left on the clock and take the win than see that game go into overtime. Apart from the fact that was a horribly sloppy and uninspired game of football, overtime play is completely senseless and an unnecessary danger to the health of both teams. Screw Mangini and the Jets! :helmet:
FredrockSkinsFan
I'm thrilled about that decision, we couldn't tackle for Sh*t; I'm amazed they were even in the position to kick a field goal. Bone headed move in terms of winning the game - probably wanted to test his team more than anything else. Get the 6 or saddle up.
Monte51Coleman
It was a dumbass decision. Get the game over and go home.
zCommander
Even the Jets fan were boooooooing. Really bad choice. Maybe he had a Brett-lapse and thought he was in a regular season game.
skinfan2k
for some coaches, overtime is helpful as you get more tape for those who might be the last one to make the 53 man roster. For the redskins i think 2 redskins have made their case big time and pushed out a vet. I think Fox is out and both Moore and Horton make the squad? Still not that sold on Moore, but I couldn't help but notice how much Horton was @ the ball tonight. That kid is a ballhawk, and will make a capable backup to Reed at the SS spot IMO. GibbsFactor
Mangini just wanted to give the world more Colt Brennan. Nothing to worry about, he just wanted to watch more magic.
Leonard Washington
I thought he was going to run a fake. Perhaps he was going for the OT to punish his team for dropping so many passes.
Robbynice
Actually I believe he made the right decision. The preseason is what is used to test situations you will find yourself in the regular season. The kicker failed in that pressured situation he found himself IMO. Thank Goodness for another win, Preseason, regular season, or post season a win is a damn win and it feels good...

Soup
I wanted to see Colt again to tell you the truth, so I liked the idea of going into overtime. But only use 4th string players
