88Comrade2000
With the conventions coming up shortly; I hope there is some drama. Usually, watch to 2 nominees speeches and maybe catch a little of the rest. Thing is, these political conventions are boring without a little drama. Do you want a little drama in these political conventions? I do. Obviously with the democrats; the drama would be what Bill Clinton would say and what Hillary supporters will do. I don't see Hillary upsetting the cart herself. Will the be protests for Hillary? Will they boo Obama's veep selection? I think the potential for real drama will be with the Republicans. If Mccain picks a pro choice candidate; I think social conservatives will literally walk out of the convention. Especially if Mccain picks Leiberman. BRAVEONAWARPATH
To be honest, I don't want either convention to have drama. In the long run, I don't thinks its good for the country.

Drama is good, makes good TV. Drama on the republican side like I mentioned; means Hello Liberalmania 2009. Mccain is just stupid enough to piss off the republican base and thus end his shot of winning.
Oldskool
McCain is alot smarter than most of the people on the board give him credit for. He won't have a pro-choice VP because he needs the conservative vote. The real drama will come from the Dems side. As posted previously, Hills has something up her sleeve. Maybe Obama never makes it to Denver. Koolblue13
"Information we get in real time is preliminary and may be subject to change when we get a fuller account of what happened," FAA spokeswoman Laura Brown said. Ah, whatever. Federal Agency fumbling around with the guy who wants to put them in charge of more of my life. That's good irony.
88Comrade2000
I would for the democrats to really show their liberal face at this convention. Have speaker after speaker say the days of Hannity, Limbaugh and Fox News are about to be over. Let them go over the top. The 92 republican convention was thought of really hurting Bush. It would be great to see one hurt Obama. On the republican side, I really would love to see the conservatives walk out.
Koolblue13
I would like to see them discuss issues and policy like adults and leave the playground schtick alone.
Hubbs
I would like to see them discuss issues and policy like adults and leave the playground schtick alone. And I would like a flying car and a dozen naked supermodels in this room right now.
Burgold
Drama? Yes! I would love for the ghost of Reagan to rise up during the Republican Convention (Hamlet-like) and point to Cheney, Bush, You have betrayed me! You have murdered my principles! Avenge me! Avenge me! And then for McCain to tie a bandana around his head, pull out a bowie knife and go purging the corruption out of the Republican Party. Actually, maybe I don't want drama, but an action an adventure flick. I mean who really wants to see "Terms of Endearment" at the Conventions? Teller
It's be just fine with me if they found some way to make Hillary the nominee. The two-party system doesn't work very well, we'd get to see if a one-party system is any better.
dcnativenerd
Eh, not really. Though I wouldn't be surprised if a group of Libertarian-Republicans (a la Ron Paulites) did something at the convention.
Mordac
I would like 2 see some drama at both conventions or at least some serious discussion about the problems we face as a nation and what we're gonna do about it. Who was that old guy from ABC i think who doesn't cover conventions any more cuz they're just BS? I agree with that guy.

Given the "Do Nothing Congress" and their "Do Nothinger" successors, my guess is...well...not a whole helluva lot.
Burgold
Yeah, but be honest with yourself, hh. You've admitted more than once that these Republicans have really mucked things up. Do you really think that they're the ones to fix it? I mean Hell look at the Republican Convention platform slogan: Pick the Devil You Know: After 8 years of mistakes, we're due to get something right!
