How much do you "hate" the cowboys?

Were you happy that Romo sits to pee fumbled that snap or did you feel bad for the guy?

When the cowboys play other teams, do you root against them or does it not make a difference?

If you had some good info, would you ever bet on the cowboys? Or just hope they lose anyways?

Being a hawaii fan, I hate teams like Fresno St. and Boise st, but for some reason, when we are in the postseason, I find myself really cheering for my fellow WAC teams.

Anyone root for the boys if the skins are done for the season? against? not give a rip?

My granmma told me when I was young that HATE is a strong word, not to be taken lightly. One should only use that word if it were warranted and there really wasn't anything to warrant it.

I told her I HATE the Cowboys and she understood!

The only thing in this world I absolutely HATE is the cowpukes!!!!

I am not sure that I could root for the pukes even if it were the only way the Redskins could get into the playoffs.

1. OF COURSE

2. OF COURSE I ROUT AGAINST THEM

3. YOU MUST BE OUT OF YOUR GOD DAMN MIND!

:D

Also, i came this close *holds forefinger and thumb 1 inch apart* to throwing a cowboys fan over the upper deck at RFK in the last couple of seasons there. I hate Dallas, with a passion.

1. The thought of it caused me to smile for several days. In fact, I am smiling while typing this.

2. I have two favorite teams. The Redskins and whoever is playing the Cowboys.

3. I don't gamble but if I did there is no way I would bet for the Cowboys to win even if the spread was so monstrous I knew they wouldn't win the game.

4. I would rather have my eyelids ripped off.

Joe Theismann said it best in an old interview. He said George Allen, coaching the Redskins in the 70's when Dallas started to think they were "America's Team", taught him to hate absolutely everything about them right down to that damn star on the helmets.

I see that star and my blood starts to boil and George Allen's tenure was 15 years before I was born. His team killed Dallas in the 1972 NFC Championship, starting a tradition of us knocking them out in big games. As a new fan, you should also look into the "We Want Dallas" chant from the 80's playoffs. We beat them again for the NFC title in '82 and that time we got the super bowl trophy too as a "bonus" according to Theismann. Beating Dallas was all they wanted to do, the super bowl was an afterthought.

Welcome to the Redskins community. You'll learn quickly that the diehard fans HATE the Cowboys.

I could fill pages of ES with those Dallas Sucks smileys and it would not convey how much I hate the Cowboys.

The only circumstance where I ever could see myself rooting for them to win would be if it's the only way for the Redskins to make the playoffs. Even then, it would be physically painful and emotionally excruciating to root for the Cowboys. I guess I would be rooting for the other team to lose and not for the Cowboys to win.

To answer your questions:

1. I laughed hysterically and smiled for a very long time at Romo sits to pee's fumble. No way I'd ever feel badly for a Cowboy. Reading your question and thinking about the fumble was enough to plant an ear-to-ear grin on my face.

2. My fav. shirt I own says "I root for 2 teams, the Redskins and whoever's playing Dallas." That's completely true. Sunday is complete only with a Redskin victory AND a Dallas loss.

3. I always want the Cowboys to lose, except if it's the only way for the Redskins to make the playoffs. Like I said, even under these circumstances, it would be physically painful and emotionally excruciating to want the Cowboys to win.

I don't swear and I don't say bad things about others. Actually, people tease me for always seeing the good in everyone. However, when the subject turns to the Cowboys, I become a different person, someone who's practically possessed. evil3.gif My children are being raised with good manners, but there are exceptions for the Cowboys. They know that the only time they are allowed to use the words "suck" or "hate" is in relation to the Cowboy team or any of their players. In that context, it's perfectly acceptable. :D My brother is a Cowboy fan (that's how I became a Redskin fan). When I had kids, he started trying to convert them to be Cowboy fans. I told him to cut it out or he would not have any more contact with his nephews. This is serious enough that I really would cut off contact with a family member rather than let them brainwash my child to root for the Cowpukes. (By the way, they want no part of the Cowboys and are loyal Redskin fans. My 4 year old trash talks really well about the Cowboys, and numerous relatives and friends cheer him on because they also hate the Cowboys).

Re-reading what I wrote, it still doesn't convey how much I hate the Cowboys. I don't know how to tell you other than to say that I hate them more than anything in this world (OK, maybe not as much as rapists and murderers).

With that said, I hate the Cowboy organization and all their players, but I would never wish personal harm to anyone or their loved ones. Don't get me wrong. I'm happy if they have a good player who's injured and can't play, but I would never wish serious injury to anyone. Cowboys may be subhumans, but they still are kinda part of the human race, sort-of.

I hate the Cowboys so much that when I see a Cowboys emblem, whilst in Maryland, I automatically assume that the person adorning it is Al Qaeda.

I hate the Cowboys and Giants equally. Quantitatively speaking, tied for 31st in the NFL However, I was cheering for the Giants in the Super Bowl, so I guess that makes me a confused, confused person.

Hmm...If the Skins were out, I would have thought there would be a certain degree of rah rah for a team representing the NFC East. I guess I thought wrong (shrug).

Tony Romo sits to pee's fumble made my top 10 list of greatest plays of that postseason. It was #1.

I can honestly say I have a deep hatred for the Cowboys, and will never in my life EVER root for the Cowboys in a football game. As much as I hate the Eagles and the Giants, if any of them play the Cowboys, I root for them. Almost all Redskins fans have one favorite team outside of the Redskins. That team is whoever is playing the Cowboys.
