What song was #1 on the day you were born

These sorts of things are always fun to try out.

US - Escape (The Pina Colada Song) - Rupert Holmes

UK - Another Brick in the Wall - Pink Floyd

AUS - Video Killed the Radio Star - Buggles

This is somewhat disappointing. I hate the Pina Colada song, and I'm not really into Pink Floyd either. I like the Aussie one though, so it's not a total wash.

Besides a Beach Boy drowning, not a lot of excitement occurred on my birthday over the years. There was however, this tidbit:

1968, the three day Miami Pop festival took place, the first major rock festival held on the East Coast of the US, with Chuck Berry, The McCoys, Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac, Marvin Gaye, The Turtles, The Box Tops, Steppenwolf, Three Dog Night, Pacific Gas and Electric, Procol Harum, Canned Heat, Iron Butterfly and The Grateful Dead.

Now that is a concert I would have killed to attend.

I got for my birthday:

Disco Lady - Johnnie Taylor (US)

Save Your Kisses For Me - Brotherhood of Man (UK)

Fernando - Abba (AUS)

I don't think I've ever heard any of these songs in my life. Damn 70s music.....

Song when I graduated High School didn't fair much better:

I Swear - All For One (US)

Love Is All Around - Wet, Wet, Wet (UK)

Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm - Crash Test Dummies (AUS)

When I turned 21 (sigh):

Can't Nobody Hold Me Down - Puff Daddy featuring Mase (US)

I Believe I Can fly - R. Kelly (UK)

Truly, Madly, Deeply - Savage Garden (AUS)

When I got married (double sigh):

Crank That - Soulja Boy (US) I HATE this freakin' song

Beautiful Girls - Sean Kingston (UK and AUS)
