Henry
It's official. 'Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones' http://www.starwars.com/episode-ii/ ... words fail me.
MikeB
Who knows... maybe it will surprise us. The last one sucked though, and this one 'looks' worse! Yeah, and, what's with the name? ------------------ <IMG SRC="http://espn.go.com/i/nfl/clubhouse/was.gif" border=0>
Henry
Well, I did like Episode One okay and I'm looking forward to the next one, but man that title is AWFUL. It took them 2 years to come up with THAT? Yeesh! ------------------ "Men, there's nothing to get excited about. The situation is normal; we are surrounded."
redman
Produced by Jim Rome? ------------------ "Loosen up, Sandy baby. You're just too damn tight!" - John Riggins to Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor
NavyDave
Just give me a special edition Empire Srikes Back on DVD, all others pale in comparison, IMHO ------------------ Take a sip of the Marty Kool Aid and Believe [ by NavyDave on August 07, 2001.]
joe
Jim Rhome is getting a lot of play over this, but the title obviously comes from references in the first Star Wars movie, which is now Episode 4, A New Hope. Obi Wan tells Luke Skywalker that he was a Jedi knight "like your father" and that he "fought in the clone wars." We are, I suspect, about to find out just what the Clone Wars were all about. KevinthePRF
I was listening to Rhome on the way home and he indeed is getting a lot of play over this, emails, etc. I didn't like the first one(Episode I), but I think it may of been because there is no way it could of surpassed the hype of a 15 year wait by it's fans. And I was like one of many who gobbled every piece of information about the movie before it's release. This time I'm taking a different approach. I'm not even reading snippets about the movie. No behind the scenes. Nothing. I'm just waiting till it's out and judge it then. Well see. He can't do any worse IMO.
Henry
I just caught about 10 minutes of Rome on my way back from lunch and they are having a field day with this. Kev, good idea. I took that approach with the Episode 1 which is probably why I didn't mind it so much. ------------------ "Men, there's nothing to get excited about. The situation is normal; we are surrounded." Larry
You might also consider that many (all?) to the Star Wars movies had one title they used while they were filming, and another that was actually on the movie. (That way they get to do two merchandising cycles for each movie? Or maybe to deny the people who do pirate merchandise as much lead time as possible?)
Fitz
You're right, Larry. "Return of the Jedi" was "Revenge of the Jedi" nearly up until its' release. And it's not just Star Wars; most films have a working title that bears no resemblance to the final one. For my part, I don't care if it's called "Yoda Does Dallas" as long as George Lucas: 1) Pays more attention to the story than the special effects; 2) Gets better performances out of the cast (I thought Liam Neeson was particularly wooden in Episode I); and 3) Eradicates all traces of Jar Jar Binks and the guy who did his voice... Jrredskin
Also take into consideration that the basics of this story and in many respects the details too have been around since before Episode IV was released. Lucas wrote very detailed outlines for all 9 episodes so that all the story arcs would make sense.
