Posted in the other thread, but worth repeating....

Guys - Don't hit your women. Period.

Exceptions to the above rule are as follows

1) She attacks you (not hits you once, but attacks with a object, knife, flame thrower, etc....)

2) Shes on fire and you need to get her to role on the ground

3) She says "Thank you sir, may I have another" during role playing or other mutual agreed upon game (And for gods sake, please have a safe word. Oh, and BTW, if you do have a safe word, don't cover her month when she might need it... BOY is that embarrassing....or so I've heard)

first off you have really caught the ghey if youre staring at my pic enough to think I have a cool 5 oclock shadow. but i cant grow a beard. just a goatee and a half ass mustache.

I knew you had one of those douchebags sack on your chin. but i guess you get so many of them crossing there that its easy to confuse.

Only playfighting. But one time I misjudged my strength, and I gave her a slap.gif that was so hard, her face continued to vibrate, the way Hulk Hogan's cheeks would when he was 'hulked up' during a match.

Yeah I should have added that my wife and I play fight too. She was into kick boxing in college so I would play the "attacker" and she would show me what she learned. :kungfu: I almost got my ass kicked a few times.

IMO, no. Not unless she is really trying to kill the guy or something. But if she is just hitting the guy, the guy should simply try to defend himself and restrain her.

Now of course we're talking about significant others here. If some random woman comes up and decides she wants to try kicking my ass, I would have no issues fighting back :)

I was thinking of "is this a threat?".

Much like a temperamental child ... anything is 'tolerated' until they reach a certain size and strength.

Unless Mrs Corcaigh, being almost half my weight, picks up a weapon, she's not going to do much harm. :)

Absolutely agree with this. I think you should never lay a hand on a significant other.

And the case I was talking about didn't involve me, but it involved someone I know. Some random chick kept hitting him and wouldn't stop. After repeated warnings and trying to push her away...he decked her, and that made her stop. IMO, he was warranted with what he did.

i already told keeastman the answer to her question, but i pretty much would have done the exact same thing if attacked. Verbal warnings, followed by shoves, followed by a TKO.

You should check that movie out that I referenced on the first page, Oleanna. I swear, I've never felt that a guy hitting a girl should be justified, but that movie ****s with your morals. When he hits her at the end, it's hard not to cheer him on for it and at the very least see why he did it.
