Movie Bucket List: Films you absolutely 'must see'

Recommended Posts

If I had a quarter for everytime someone brought up a movie that I hadn't seen, only to get blasted with, "OMG!!! You haven't seen that!?!?!" I'd be a very wealthy man.

I was never a huge movie buff to start with, and with the kids, I became even less of one, save for the animated flicks out the yin-yang.

Anyway, I've decided to put together a shortlist of all the movies I haven't seen that I need to watch before I die (or some other reasonable time limit.) As you might've guessed (seeing as I started a thread on the topic) I'm soliciting your assistance.

Hopefully we'll all get to see some good flicks we might have missed out on.

NO movie suggestion is too obvious or too stupid. My cinematic experience is VERY limited. (I haven't seen Apocalypse Now, the Magnificent Seven, or any of the LOTR series, to mention a few I've been called on recently.)

Help me out, ES. What do I absolutely HAVE to see?

1. Pulp Fiction

2. Godfather

3. Braveheart

4. Tombstone

5. A Few Good Men

6. Shawshank Redemption

7. Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrells

8. Kill Bill Vol I

i thought this thread was going to be about the movie (the bucket list). Anyway how about the godfather series, i know it seems too obvious but i hadnt seen it until a couple of years ago and it is a classic.

Also if you havent seen the shawshank redemption you dont want to miss out on that one.

I saw Cuckoo's Nest when I was too young to 'get it.' That just might be #1 on the list.

I would def do the Godfather first out of that list:2cents:

I might just take your word for it. Something tells me, from what little I remember, that I would love Cuckoo's Nest now though. Maybe I'll pick up both if I can find 'em.

That IS my shortlist.

Wanna see my long list?

Uhhh....maybe?

OK, somebody help me out with this one.

I was watching one of the movie channels at a hotel one night (not a pay channel, like AMC or something) and I caught this movie part way in.

Morgan Freeman was a blind piano teacher or something, who basically rescued this kid from some kind of fight club. Had something to do with this collar the kid wore to make him do what the promoter wanted, etc, etc.

What the hell was it? I'd really like to see that one all the way through.
