Joe Lieberman: Democrats and our Enemies

Henry

Recommended Posts

This thread is very confusing. I mean, chomerics has the clear advantage in fervent, nearly rabid, irrational ranting, but Sarge is much better at ad hominem attacks. Which side should I adopt? It's so difficult to decide...

Sarge, you are a dullwitted caveman. You've never been right about anything here. You are praobably a lifelong Klan member and Founding Father of the American Nazi/neocon movement. You have nowhere near my intellect, even though that intellect is slowly fading due to the amount of weed I grow and smoke on my government taxpayer financed job.:)

So I'm betting Henry didn't intend to create a Chom-Sarge cage match of a thread. :)

Internalize that you are both loved/reviled as iconic tailgate "characters." Be grateful. You could be a merely despised tailgate "character" instead, as is the case with certain mods. :silly:

Plus I keep winning the elections :D

Other than the fact that I don't work for the government any more, and I would have used ignorant thick skulled Neanderthal, pretty much spot on :silly:

Lieberman doesn't mention that does he? He claims Democrats were all about fighting communism.

I think the ideas that having talks, or using tactics other than war, somehow mean you are going to give terrorists everything they want, is where Lieberman's opinion fails. To me.

The DEms were and some still far more conservative then the Pubs

When I first read Sarge's assist, a number of thoughts quickly ran through my mind. :D

To condense it down to one in response your comment here, H, and appealing to your interest in history, and Sarge's in military/political matters, and also go for the Godwin award all in one swoop:

It was like Stalin joining FDR in scolding Adolph for having a bad attitude. :silly:

Just making sure: I'm FDR right? :silly:

So I'm betting Henry didn't intend to create a Chom-Sarge cage match of a thread. :)

Oh, I knew I was taking a chance. I actually did glean a few bits of useful information before the mushroom cloud went off, so it's all good. :)

It sort of reminds me of the end of Blazing Saddles... when the angry mob spills over from scene to scene slugging it out with one another.

Pretends to be righteous, but actually murders more people. Check. :silly:

Mike used to claim he was a moderate and then he quickly spiraled down the liberal rabbit hole. His posts seem to follow the same pattern.

It reminds me of the unabomber. When you read his manifesto it is peppered with interesting thoughts on occasion and you get the sense the man is intelligent, but it's clear you are reading the ranting of a lunatic.

How many ways can someone say the same thing over and over and over and tie it into whatever political topic is being discussed. It truly is an amazing talent. Kind of like an idiot savant.

eh, manifesto, unibomber references, nah I prefer to be part of the living and actually get laid every now and then.

I, at one time voted for Mitt Romney over Kennedy, and voted for him again over O'Brien. . .but that was before I became interested in politics, and started to pay attention to what the politicians did, instead of just listening to sound bites. . .who knows, the dems may be like the dems of the 80s and I'll go republican again.

Here is the thing though, the parties changed, while my platform and beliefs stayed the same. I watched everything revolve around me in the past decade or so, my beliefs never changed and always stayed where they were. Conservative fiscally and liberal socially. Pretty moderate platform if you took a corresponding view of the country. . .but when you take a sample of a DC based 25-50 male demographic, I become a marxist who writes manifestos. It is all about the perception and where the reality is, I am still comfortable in my positions, and will always be. Come up with a convincing argument, and I will change my mind. It is just that I see very few convincing arguments here :silly:

You have gone so far off the deep end you are attacking Henry of all people for pointing out some of the flaws (very respectfully I might add) of the modern Democratic party. Nothing will change your mind. You are a political hack and your hypocrisy has been exposed so many times it's embarrassing. "I voted for Mitt Romney" is supposed to gloss over hundreds of ridiculous rantings.

After I posted my jab at you I actually went and read some of the unabomber manifesto and I must say you have never written anything as poignant as points 15 and 16.

15. Leftists tend to hate anything that has an image of being strong, good and successful. They hate America, they hate Western civilization, they hate white males, they hate rationality. The reasons that leftists give for hating the West, etc. clearly do not correspond with their real motives. They SAY they hate the West because it is warlike, imperialistic, sexist, ethnocentric and so forth, but where these same faults appear in socialist countries or in primitive cultures, the leftist finds excuses for them, or at best he GRUDGINGLY admits that they exist; whereas he ENTHUSIASTICALLY points out (and often greatly exaggerates) these faults where they appear in Western civilization. Thus it is clear that these faults are not the leftist's real motive for hating America and the West. He hates America and the West because they are strong and successful.

16. Words like "self-confidence," "self-reliance," "initiative", "enterprise," "optimism," etc. play little role in the liberal and leftist vocabulary. The leftist is anti-individualistic, pro-collectivist. He wants society to solve everyone's needs for them, take care of them. He is not the sort of person who has an inner sense of confidence in his own ability to solve his own problems and satisfy his own needs. The leftist is antagonistic to the concept of competition because, deep inside, he feels like a loser.

But it's good to hear you are getting laid. Living in a state of paranoid stress and anger can often lead to erectile dysfunction. Thank God for US pharmaceutical companies, eh?

How could anyone possibly criticize you for not wanting

Syria to have WMDs? :(

A few weeks ago Sarge posted a link that said Bush would be vindicated because evidence of Iraq's WMDs having been transferred to Syria would surface. I called BS. Then the Republicans in that thread told me I hated America because I said it was BS and I apparently wanted us to look bad. If I didn't want that rumor to be true, if I didn't want Syria to have WMDs, then I was a traitor who hate America.

Midnight, is your hatred for anyone standing to your right really more important then what would be best for your country? This information could help the US reputation across the world. It won't fix everything obviously but it would help. The fact that you are hoping this isn't true says a hell of a lot about you as a person and American. Sadly, many people think just like you.

http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/showthread.php?t=243892&page=7&pp=15&highlight=Israel+Syria

So at this point it comes as no surprise that equally partisan folk would relate to the unibomber.

First off Duncan, where was I attacking Henry? I told him what I thought and that is an attack? Man you righties have your panties in a wad today don't you. I state what I think, that the party isn't moving left, and that is an attack. I am called a communist, a marxist, told I am writing a manifesto and everything else under the sun, yet I am the one attacking. . . sure, keep thinking that way Duncan, you pop your head out ever now and then to give your two cents, then go back to the rectum you crawl out of for another 6 months or so.

. Nothing will change your mind. You are a political hack and your hypocrisy has been exposed so many times it's embarrassing. "I voted for Mitt Romney" is supposed to gloss over hundreds of ridiculous rantings.

Do you actually think that I don't change my mind if someone brings up a rational argument? There are countless threads where I have done just that, and if I am shown to be wrong, I'll man up and *gasp* admit it. Something I would never expect from you, or your ilk. Opening up your mind and accepting all points of view is such a noble concept, yet instead of doing just that, and looking for a middle ground of progress, you go on the offensive and try to divert the attention from the horrid state of affairs our country is in from the people you supported.

When faced with defending the indefensible, and exposing the weakness in your own argument, you go on the attack. It is fine with me, I'm a big boy, I can handle it, I can also handle and come to grips with the fact that I have been preaching the correct side of the argument for the better part of 4 years here, while you have been on the opposite side of the argument. I don't blame you for being upset, if I were in your shoes, I would probably do the same thing. It is about all you can do, because your arguments hold no water when held up to facts and history now. Your only course of action is to attack, because you can't defend.

After I posted my jab at you I actually went and read some of the unabomber manifesto and I must say you have never written anything as poignant as points 15 and 16.

So I hate things that are strong and successful? Sorry, I think you have me confused with someone else. BTW, why do you think the same way that a lunatic who lives like a hermet in a mountain cabin does?

Does anyone see the irony in the fact that you are using the words of an insane madman to describe an entire class of people, and you actually believe it is true? Who is the madman here Duncan, you, who is using the words of the unibomber for his defense, or me, who is talking from what I think and believe?

But it's good to hear you are getting laid. Living in a state of paranoid stress and anger can often lead to erectile dysfunction. Thank God for US pharmaceutical companies, eh?

Never had a need for pills to keep my johnson up, ask you're wife, she'll tell ya :)
