slackermike
Glad Rock is back with the team. Nice to see us keep players that have earned it instead of throwing money at free agent busts like B. Lloyd and Arch Deluxe. Speaking of Rock, I was on NFL's site looking at his player profile and watched the highlight they had. Guess who's kicking off to Rock? Our very own Shaun Suisham. SUSkinsFan
Glad he got a contract with us. He is a hell of a kick returner and I don't wanna see him running up the field for someone else.

Redskins:Victory_or_Death
Good job with Rock, Vinny. Now go get us Frost back. Really? I've thought Frost was less than spectacular, and it seems to me competition/replacement would be nice to have. I could be completely misguided, but I know that others have said the same thing. Are other options not available? Of course this is also the board with some members suggesting we trade Cooley/Portis/etc., so that's probably not the best thing to partly base an opinion on... Washington53fan
I like him met him a few times and to reflect everyone elses comments he is the heart of our special teams and a reliable backup...this is the epitome of a "fair" deal

Frost is mid-tier, not a great punter. I always expect to see kicker competition in camp, but really hate to see a hole where we had none before. If we can't get Frost for the minimum or close, I would look at camp for a kid with a leg. Frost is servicable, and can kickoff if needed.

smokinskinsfan
Sweet, glad he is coming back. I also like that we are just doing nice contracts and holding back on things. If we can get this extra pick, a nice off season this will be!
da#1skinsfan
1M per year? Overspent? Worth every penny. He will play with a HUGE chip on his shoulder after not being shown any respect from the league in free agency...probowl baby, make it happen Rock! psu2008
I'm glad he's back! I know he wants a bigger role, but he's a great special teams contributer and can have a solid career.
bulldog
Folks who think spending $1M on a proven veteran performer is overpaying should check out the escalating salaries for specialist positions such as punter, kicker and long snapper. These guys are now getting decent bonuses from clubs, no longer are they resigning for the vet minimum. When considering what a team does, you have to consider the context. Salaries have risen across the board for what in prior years were considered the 'expendable' or 'replaceable' positions on the ball club. remember when corners got all the dollars and safeties were the lowest paid position on defense? not any more. DCchillin89
Gotta love this new commitment to keeping and developing in house talent. What a great pick in the 7th round! He's an example of a hidden gem in the draft. This is why keeping picks, no matter how high it is, is important.

Area51
Great. So much for Marcus Mason getting his opportunity to show his worth. Man I just wish there was ONE team dumb enough to give him around 2 mill guaranteed. Come on, Al Davis! WTF is the matter with you!? Seriously though, I'm rather disappointed he signed back with us. I'm not going to get into it with all you Rock lovers but this has more than likely cost Mason a spot on the team.
COWBOY-KILLA-
Solid signing a true redskin that I would have been very sad to see go. Glad we got it done great 3rd RB. Maybe this also opens up the door to trade betts and promote mason to 3. Regardless of what we get for betts even if it's a 4-6 rounder.

Simple as that. On another note, does any site keep track of special teams tackles? I just read an article that said Rock had 34 last season, and that sounds like a lot to me. I bet he's among the leaders in the league, but I can't find any website that tracks the stat.
