Mack Strong was forced into retirement last year because of a neck injury and Weaver had to become the starter. Weaver does have a sick stiff arm. This will be his first year as a starter. There's nothing I've seen from Duckett in the past two years that says he's worth a two-year contract, let along a five. The only thing that would've made this deal any stranger would've been if Byner was in Seattle waiting for him. (To my knowledge Byner has not signed on as a coach yet; Titans was the last rumor I heard). Give Seattle minimal credit in that they didn't also blow two picks on Duckett like we did.
