Hillary and Obama virtually tied going into Super Tuesday . . .

Hopefully Obama keeps up the momentum on Tuesday.

On a side note, did anyone see that Obama had a commercial on Fox at the end of the game? Nothing negative, just promoting himself. It was weird seeing a political ad in the super bowl ads. It was nice to see an ad that wasn't focused on attacking the other candidates.

National polls mean very little.

But most of the state polls are trending heavily towards Obama. The question is whether or not Hillary can hold him off just a bit longer.

If Obama ties or even only loses by a little tomorrow, he's in great shape. He has 3 times as much money as she does and will be able to campaign heavily once the "super tuesday" is complete and normalcy of 1 or 2 a week returns.

Not a winner in the sense of the nomination, but if Hillary doesnt clean up, she will be seen as the loser.
Yeah, and right now, perception is reality...

(although perception wasn't reality going from Iowa to New Hampshire ... this whole primary season has kind of defied logic :whoknows: )

Even so, I think it'll be tough to say who wins... I mean, unless Obama wins ever state by even a slim majority (but Hillary is going to win a few herself).

I think both candidates are going to be able to say they won.

Honestly, I think Obama's biggest victories have been the superdelegate endorsements he's been picking up. It really might come down to that in the end.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sen. Hillary Clinton teared up this morning at an event at the Yale Child Study Center, where she worked while in law school in the early 1970s.

Penn Rhodeen, who was introducing Clinton, began to choke up, leading Clinton's eyes to fill with tears, which she wiped out of her left eye. At the time, Rhodeen was saying how proud he was that the sheepskin-coat, bell-bottom-wearing young woman he met in 1972 was now running for president.

"Well, I said I would not tear up; already we're not exactly on the path," Clinton said with emotion after the introduction

this is true in a sense as almost every political analyst assumed Hillary would have the nomination wrapped up after Super Tuesday, but as DjTj said, this race so far has defied conventional logic.

If Obama wins Cali then that would be huge.

They were saying that it is amazing how fast Obama has come since he did not have the "machine" the clintons have had in place.

On one of the morning shows they said after tonight if Hillary is not 100 or more delegates ahead then he will win the nom.

Last month he raised 32 million and Hillary raised 12, that is amazing.

That's hilarious PleaseBlitz.

I think Hillary is going to win Cali, because of all the absentee ballots that were sent in weeks and even months ago before Obama took off. If just today's votes were counted, I think it becomes a toss up.

Of course, The Democrats do not do their primaries in a winner take all fashion, so he doesn't have to win a state. He just needs to keep racking up delegates and building momentum.

Agree they were showing on one of the shows that hillary can win the popular vote but he can win the delegates, it all depends on WHERE the votes are and which counties. I think Super Tuesday is the beginning or end of Hillary. If this is still as close it is now after tomorrow then Obama will win. The momentum he has going can not be stopped right now.
