Mine has got to be Super Bowl XXII. The 1987 Washington Redskins were such a scrappy rag tag team the refused to give. Plus it gave me extra ammunition when I use to lived in Denver and got razzed by Bronco Fans.

22 was the first one I ever watched so it has a special place in my heart, the later one I didn't get to watch all the way through since our youth group had a Party and we had to leave to travel home :/ So I missed all but the last two onside kicks :/

As much as I love the Riggins run, I gotta go with lighting up the Broncos in the 2nd QTR. now that was freaking awesome...

Such a great performance makes me feel bad for all those around here that were crapping their diapers and were too young to watch...

They all were great.

I can remember watching Super Bowl XVII, and cheering with my dad even though I was about 8 years old.

XXII was great because I was taking a lot of heat from Broncos fans during the first quarter, then they all shut up at half time.

But my favorite was Super Bowl XXVI

That team was just awesome. Plus, it was my senior year in High School, so I was bragging A LOT.

Also, if it wasn't for a fluke by the Cowboys, and resting starters against the Eagles they'd be talking about the Patriots trying to tie the Redskins at 19-0......Oh well, still a great team.

Super Bowl XXII. Hubby and I were in college watching it with a bunch of fellow Skins fans. One couldn't take it after the first quarter and went for a walk. He came back at half time and refused to believe us when we told him the score. That was the most amazing quarter in Skins history!

The Broncos win for sure. Im not old enough to remeber the 82 season so SB XXII. I remember being down 10-0 and thinking this really sux, they might actually lose to the broncos. My folks are big Skins fans, there first house was in arlington Va. We lived in Va beach at the time and most of the kids i knew were skins fans.

Even now I still cant believe the second qaurter that they had to beat the john Elways. That had to be by far the best Ive ever seem them play. even better than my favorite team , the 91 skins. Lived in Greensboro by then, and you could tell after week 3 against the Cardinals man this team is going all the way. I think to that point the skins had shutout both the cardinal and the lions. They also squeeked by a Cowboys team that they later lost to.

I would say for me the SB XXII was the most memorable. I would imagine beating the Dolphins would be the best in my lifetime. For people in their 30's and older that was probably the best game they had ever seen. Especially with the way the Diesel caped the win! Oh well, to bad the Skins havent been close in a long time. Maybe if the Giants win history will repeat itself and the Skins will be next in line for the SB.:1stplace:

EDIT: Wow i guess I was wrong. Even the guys in their 40's are saying XXII. Makes me glad I'm old enough to remember!

Yeah, Riggins run was probably my first football game recollection because I was like 8 yrs old, but remember watching it with my grand dad. As for the Denver game, I was a little older and actually watched it with a Broncos fan. And I was a high school senior for the Bills game. Seeing and remembering all 3, they all had their storylines or moments, but I'm going with the Bills game. Their offense had been unstoppable that yr with Kelley, Thomas, and Reed. But the Skins dominated that game and literally shut down that Bills O. I can still see Reed slamming his helmet to the turf!!!

This was easily the most memorable to me. I remember XVII pretty well, but the way the media & the commentators were slobbering over Elway & the Orange Crush, they basically never gave us a chance. Plus, once we were down 10-0, they really were writing us off...until Art Monk got the ball rollin' with a HUGE 3rd down conversion & then Williams to Sanders starts a flurry of scoring that has not been seen since. Unbelievably awesome!

I remember 22 & 26 like it was yesterday...it would really be a tie. I feel like i enjoyed the one vs the BIlls more since i was a tad older (9th grade)...so i will go with that one. But u cant go wrong.

I cant imagine how experiencing the SB would be at my age now.....i was a 14 year old kid back then I can only imagine how the celebration would be nowadays.

HTTR!

XXII Living in the area of the bronx it was a very good win. especially to stomp them and after 2 weeks of listening to doodoo about how they were the favorites and soooo good, Elway , no way the Skins could win and the local media jumping on the bandwagon for them, man I could go on and on...

XXII...it was my senior year in High-School and after the first Elway score I got a lot of phone calls from friends who were Bronco fans...suddenly after we took the lead...the phone was very quiet.

To this day of a team if a team is down by a huge margin (thanks to the 2nd quarter) they always point to that 2nd quarter and say, "Hey remember when Washinton scored 35 in a quarter it can happen."

I watched that Super Bowl last week on NFL Network...it was so much fun...I loved it.
