Springs refused to renogiate last year. Imagine if M Washington, CP, Jansen, and others refuse to do so this offseason. We could be in big time cap trouble. 36HAMMER Posted January 26, 2008 Share Posted January 26, 2008 daniels gone , griffen has to redo or gone,washington redo or gone , springs big redo or gone daniels is age, griff is age and injury probs last 3 years, wash injury 2 years in a row, springs age . jansen massive redo maybe go injuries 3 yrs in a row, randy t redo or trade age/size and injuries 2 yrs in a row, kendal age/size.there's alot of money tied up in guys who when healthy are great teammates and players but who haven't been able to stay healthy do to either. age or being small like 305 pound o-lineman are small, 235 pd lb are small, 35 yrs old is old in football.personell descions will tell the tale.of course the salary cap manager will have to work some majic this year.we'll see.brunnell is gone maybe lloyd is traded for a 6 or 7 th pick or with a new coach he gets another shot.get your pocorn its going to be interesting. Everyone on OL except Samuels, Heyer, 49ers guy, Rabach Betts & Cartwright. Collins and Brunell. Griffin & Daniels, everyone DL except: Alexander, Golston, Monty, Carter, and maybe Evans. Washington, Fletcher (year after), all LBs save McIntosh & Blades. Springs. In 2 years of good drafts, our current young guys will be the vets, good to go. We need to trade down repeatedly in draft, get picks, fill with young talent. A MAJOR HOUSECLEANING IS WHAT THIS TEAM NEEDS, AND BULK OF PICKS FOR 2 YEARS ON OL/DL, SAVE SELECT PICKS ON CB & WR. Not Restructure. There is a difference. A Pay Cut means less money paid to the player. A Restructure has to do with when money is promised and delievered. Me personally if i was a player or coach, there is no way i would want to work under those conditions, the owner does not care about anything but himself and making a buck!!!!!!!! And what about Clinton Portis? He loved Gibbs and GW. Will the new staff keep him with Ladell Betts around? I think the staff changes are just the beginning. More changes will come. I think that the defensive side will remain largely intact. Blache knows all of the guys, they know him. The biggest changes could come on offense. I can't see Clinton going anywhere. Based on Holgrem using the West Coast O, maybe CP will be used more like Bryan Westbrook (a dream, I know, but stranger things have happened). Anyway, I see potential big changes on O. If he was, 1) I think that his dad would have just left the team to him or 2) He would have been able to find a way to buy the team. Just my personal opinion.
