How much turnover in terms of players can we expect to have this off-season? Griffin, Springs, Washington, Fletcher, and Daniels are all GW guys. With our current cap situation, and the ages of these players, would anyone be surprised to see most of these guys go? And what about Clinton Portis? He loved Gibbs and GW. Will the new staff keep him with Ladell Betts around? I think the staff changes are just the beginning. More changes will come.

FOr each of those guys, look at their cap numbers for next year & subsequent years.

Griffin: 6.166, 6.166, 5.833

Springs: 7.484, 8.484

Washington: 6.445, 6.521

Fletcher: 3.440, 4.350, 7.1, 7.1

Daniels: 3.757, 2.057, 2.057

Portis: 8.876, 9.938, 9.072, 9.535

Fletcher & Daniels aren't going anywhere, their cap numbers are good.

Griffin & Springs will have to restructure to stay here. I think Springs is a goner, and even would have been had Williams become the head coach. Griffin could go either way.

Marcus & Portis fall into the same category for me. Their cap numbers are big, but I don't see the Redskins cutting these players. So once thats determined & they're staying anyway, might as well take some extra money & restructure.

All this talk about the new coach meaning players won't restructure is BS anyway. In the end, no matter what anybody says, everyone is about the cash.......

Rinse and Repeat. LOL. And boy do I agree. This will be a failed venture.

This team will most likely be blown up and rebuilt. Snyder will lose patience after two years, fire the coach, and we'll rebuild again.

Rinse and repeat.

Why are people assuming there will be masive player tunrover? We did make the playoffs this season, so there is a lot to go with. Did Wade Phillips blow up the Dallas roster? No. Did Tomlin blow up the Steelers roster? No. Did Norv blow up the Chargers roster? No.

Funny thing is, some of the people crying for continuity, against blowing the team up, were the same ones crying for a complete rebuild after the '06 season.

Capwise, they don't have the option to clean house. Cutting Lloyd is a big hit. I imagine they'll replace one of their older dlinemen (probably Daniels) and Springs was going to be iffy regardless. Jansen might have been in danger either way. Betts has too good of a contract to let go. Portis has too big of a contract to let go. However the coaching situation played out the team was likely going to have to play mostly with the current roster.

It probably depends on which guys are close to Blache.Maybe we can get rid of the coaches pets and start putting young, hungry guys who want to play football on the field.I hope now that Greg is gone some of the defensive guys will speak up about what they may need as a unit to be an elite def. in the NFL.I thought out of respect 4 Williams some of the guys wouldn't speak ther mind.

Because Snyder didn't hire/keep Gregg Williams & Al Saunders, people figure that everyone on the team will cry like little ****es & want to leave.

I don't see it happening.

lloyd will not be a cap hit as we only signed him to a one year contract if he leaves anyways. i would like to see him signed to another one year contract he could be a valuable asset with how tall he is and under a new system he might perform better

I don't see anymore turnover on defense than if Gibbs had stayed. Springs will be an issue and some other guys need to restructure, and some just won't make the team.

The offense is where the questions are. I just don't see TC or MB being here next year. Who knows how many of our receivers will still be here. Guys like Rock and Thrash were Gibbs guys and who knows what will happen to them. I see changes along the offense line being made, however, not anymore than would have been made under Gibbs.

Will the offense use a Fullback?

I think because of Carlos we keep springs one more year. Washington, could be gone, but I think his cap number forces us to keep him another year. Griffin and Daniels would be no brainers but I always figured at least one would be here. of course who would have thought we'd get rid of Big Joe and Renaldo Wyn in the same season. I don't know about fletcher

I cannot believe that Shawn Springs was a Gregg Williams guy! Wasn't Shawn benched the first game this season without being told! These guys play for money....they are not going anywhere unless the new coach asks them to leave.

You might want to recheck your facts. Try 5 years, 30 million. He's got 3 years left on it.
