chiefj
I still dont get it. Gregg & Al are still with the team but Dannyboy is supposedly interviewing candidates for almost every coaching job we have (as per the media). I have two points or questions. If Dan is going to change over the staff wouldnt that be known by Gregg and/or Al by now so they can get on with there careers? And why wouldnt they be looking for a job or dropping their name in a hat somewhere. I know i wouldnt stay somewhere i wasnt wanted especially when most coaching or coordinator positions are filled. On the other hand maybe Al & Gregg know whats going on and are content with what there new roles will be (whatever they may be). Its weird to have 2 of the highest paid coordinators on payroll if your going to make a significant change. I think with all the speculation going on that there is a master plan that has been in place for a long time and we all will have to just wait for that PC cause no one has a clue to this riddle. They are under contract. They cannot pursue other jobs and other teams cannot pursue them for jobs (unless it's as HC) until they are released from their contract or the skins give permission for teams to talk to them. rlt2622
I was wondering this to. What could all this mean:wtf:
shadow32
Why wouldnt they just quit then? They can but they still would not be able to pursue other NFL jobs until those contractual rights are up unless the skins waive them. The skins hold all the cards while they are under contract, unless they were being considered as a HC>
stevenaa
Why wouldnt they just quit then? Because just maybe, they know things the media and we don't. Just stop all the crazy speculation. We have zero idea what's going on and what's going to happen. There aren't enough signals or clues coming from Redskins Park to make anything near an educated guess. I dont know about you but i would rather be working espcially if its the NFL. You never want to be out coaching for a year. Just ask Fassel. ntotoro
Why wouldnt they just quit then? Two things: 1) Wait to get released or fired, that way you're still owed the remainder of your contract. 2) They can't pursue other jobs unless they're released. You never want to be out coaching for a year. Just ask Fassel. If replacements are found, they'll be released. If they just quit, it's not a guarantee they'll be permitted to look for new work, plus they won't get paid.

Thats one of my points there are no other jobs. Why screw people who have done and gone through a lot for your team?
cphil006
Obviously Dan has not made his mind up yet. He hsould for everyone's sake. But, the reality is that the decision is huge and he is going ot make sure it is the right one. As soon as he does, all parties will be notified... until then, lets keep speculating.
