SoCalSkins
Whatever makes you sleep at night. Knowing the pukes have lost to every NFC East team the last time they played them and the fact that the pukes can't win a playoff game is very comforting. mdskins75
I am really kind of amazed how certain some on here that Fassell will fail. His divisional record in nfc east was pretty impressive. I wouldn't mind Williams or Fassell at this point. Why everybody thinks Williams should be so clear cut? Stack his record against Fassell and it's not even close. Let's keep in mind that he also led Giants to division title in his first year as coach and wasn't expected to do anything that year.
suze109
As great as JG is, most of you people forget that Joe Gibbs 2.0 had a sub .500 record and "ZERO" NFC East division championships. But look what he inherited when he came in ....

Elite81881
A lot of we posters are so emotionally involved that we are reacting like children. We are screaming, threatening and irrational for the moment. Quoting for emphasis and truth.:applause: <<<You can lump me in that group over the last few days. I would be happy with either coach now though. Taylor 36
Utterly ridiculous!! Giants and pokes have different teams. None of the teams has the same core group of players. And Fassel has been working radio. He also doesn't have John Fox to prop him up. Nor a good personnel guy. That's the key. When Fassel was the G-men's coach, the entire division sucked. The Eagles has such a great run at division titles because everyone else was just so bad. The division is much stronger now than it has been in the past 12 years. I don't know how Fassel will fair against that.
fansince62
you guys are being hard on Fassel, he is a good coach. yes...but good at what? in the SB...he played one of the worst offenses of all time....an offense that fired the winning QB AFTER WINNING! and that offense kicked his team all over the field. that speaks to coaching....and how bad it truly was. that Gints team had everything line up in a year in whcih the NFC East was horrendous. Truant
Quote from today's paper about Fassel: “He’s more fluff than substance as a head coach,” said one GM of a team that researched him for its head coaching vacancy a few years ago. “If you’ve been a head coach and have an offensive background and have been successful, you should get another chance. If you don’t, there are reasons why. “In this situation, you make Gregg the head coach and keep Saunders and go about your business. If that’s my option or Fassel, I would take that every day of the week.” I know in Redskinland a GM is more like a myth, but I don't think you can discount the laughter at the senior bowl, comments by a head eagles scout, and a quote like this. And it's looking like we won't get Ryan or Zorn. So we'll need you to spin that top again.
Roborob132
IT IS NEVER WHAT SOMEONE HAS DONE IN THE PAST... Like more than 3 years ago. It is what have you done recently. FOSSIL has ben crappy lately, Boller turned out to be umm, Great(ha)..., The Offense in B-more um, never happened. The simple fact that Snyder is (CURSE WORD INSERT HERE) around with the coaching staff and medling in it is proof enough that until we get a new owner who understands that THE HC is the one sho whould be hired FIRST and with him a coaching staff should be hired. FOSSIL, ZORN, RYAN may very well do a nice job, but I doubt that would happen. This whole Ryan thing and turnovers, WTF, Williams has had this D in top 10 a few times without huge turnovers. You dont need them to win. The reason why B-more won is cause turnovers in the opponents redzone and they got FG cause the O sucked and has always sucked in B-more. brianm23
I'd rather have Jim Fassel than Greg Williams. Let's look at each other's tenure as head coaches to see who's better. Besides, you can't blame that **** in Baltimore on Fassel, because look what happened when Brian B. took over the play calling. Yup, they were still crappy. (if not worse)..lol
Roborob132
ANOTHER THING, about Williams, and his record as a HC comapared to FOSSIL. Williams was not HC in Buffalo long enough to do anything and the entire Buffalo team was in dissaray after Levy, Kelly and well, EVERYONE left. Did not Bellicheck Suck in cleveland as a HC yet still got another shot. Williams is the only one that makes sense, Its about CONTINUITY. If we hire again all new coaches, we rebuild and well, another few years of mediocrity.
boston skins fan
I thought about this last night and billy brings up some of the points i was gonna bring this up. I was talking to my buddy (a giants fan) and he says approved of the job that fassell did. He is a players coach and the team will take a liking to him almost immediatly. the only problem is that a coach of this nature has a short shelf life. the team just stopped playing for him and i feel this will happen down the road. but i also believe this is a 1 year hiring til cowher is ready to coach again. Roborob132
Cowher WILL never ever coach the skins, cause Cowher wants full control with no ownership meddling in his hiring and firing and drafting and trading. Snyder will never give up control. This COWHER FOOLISHNESS is lame...
