5 Minutes Why hire from the enemy especially one who hasn't excelled recently.

I guess Danny wants more than a just about the job Coach and someone he can be comfortable with in nonwork settings

I don't like Cowher either he has become a romanticized revisioned myth among the young.

2 days? He better produce a top 10 offense by the end of his first press conference...

In all seriousness, too long. Hes going to have to show hes not an idiot in year 1, and produce a good offense by year 2. So im going to say 2 years. But by then, we will probably have wasted 2 years of our lives, just to find out he was as bad as we thought. Weve gone through that so many times over the past 15 years... Cant coaches just tell us beforehand whether they will tank or not?

I've said this about every canidate UNLESS I see improvement on the field. ONE season. If they tank this team to a sub .500 record, they should be fierd. No matter who it is.

Now, that being said, if this is true, that would mean yet another gut-job for this coaching staff. Terrible. Just terrible.

Most coaches I'd support for at least 2-3 years. Hell, at the time I even would've accepted Spurrier back for 2004 before his resignation from that golf course. With Fassel, I feel the whole thing will collapse. After 8 games, I could be calling for his head. He gets little to no grace period from me.
