(FOUL!!! Ballot box stuffing is definitely going on for Fassel right now. This poll had been holding steady around 7% support for Fassel for the first 24 hours. In a period of thirty minutes on Thursday night it went from 7% to 31% peaking at 836. I estimate the true size of the Fassel vote to be slightly less than "other" for future reference. About 175 at 2pm Friday. A lot of people voted in this poll and were watching the results as they went crazy. It was holding steady at about 82% for Williams, 7% for Fassel, and about 10% for Other. The Washington Post poll backs up the 1st 24 hours of our numbers. John Thompson's show just announced that support for Williams is currently running at 100% on Friday. The results of this poll were running steadily at 12 to 1 in favor of Williams. Thanks alot to the "class act" who decided to mess this poll up for a couple thousand people who voted honestly. ) :gang:

It doesn't look too good for Fassel right now. It looks like three quarters of all fans here want Williams. I am surprised at the one quarter "other" listings. The owner doesn't care what fans think I guess. I guess we are viewed as Sheeple who will follow whoever is coach. I want Williams, but am willing to give Fassel a shot. I don't know any "other" candidates I like beyond Williams.

Voted for GW. Players will play for him. He has the experience and would build on what has been started over the last few years under Gibbs.

I just don't get Fassel... I would rather have Mora Jr. or a number of other seemingly poor choices over Fassel. Why does the Dan love Fassel? Why does he love Vinny? Vinny is a joke, our owner with this hire will be a joke and unfortunately our beloved team will be a joke. I thought Gibbs was acting as an advisor? Surely he can not think this is the right move?

Snyder never listens to fans. If he did then he wouldn't have hired Deion Sanders or Steve Spurrier. Marty was a good hire, but that didn't last. We are fortunate to have had Gibbs back for several seasons, but his record wasn't that great.

I am sorry, but I don't understand this logic. I thought that Dan Snyder respected Joe Gibbs and his decisions? If Al Saunders and Gregg Williams were his guys, then why is he going against them? I don't understand this way of thinking at all. I didn't really think that Gregg Williams was necessarily the answer, but when you come up with Jim Fassel as the other choice, I question whether or not the fans really matter? I mean I spend as much money as the next redskins fan, now I am really considering sending a message to Dan, by buying very little. I will buy my two tickets a year and go there and spend. Outside of that they will get nothing from me if they make this hiring of Fassel. I am sure that the guy knows more football than I will even pretend to know, but I am just not confident in the guy. He really hasn't shown me that he is the answer. Besides, if he goes less than 8-8 next year, will he be around? If we don't make the playoffs next year, will he be around? I doubt it. So what does it matter if it is Williams or Fassel? They will just hire Cowher next year if this doesn't work out. You have to wonder if Fassel was hired because he knew that he basically had one year to perform and if Gregg Williams knew that he had one year to perform. This is going to be a very interesting year. I just hope whatever happens that it works out. I don't really have a lot of faith in Snyder and Cerrato. I feel that this is only a temporary solution to an on going problem.
