As far as this being a half-joke, I'm sure the thought of Landry was trying to take him out crossed his mind. But all of this is much ado about nothing. Had he have gotten the microfracture surgery, he would have been done for the 2007 season and possibly his career. It was a big gamble without a lot of upside. He obviously lost on that gamble.
