Sucks to be T. Glenn right now...

Per KFFL.com:

"Cowboys | Glenn will need microfracture surgery

Wed, 23 Jan 2008 09:15:03 -0800 The Associated Press reports Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said WR Terry Glenn (knee) will need microfracture surgery to repair his injured knee. It usually takes one year to recover from the surgery. Jones said he will sit down with Glenn to discuss his future."

Yeah don't even bother with a comeback, let alone missing the 2008 season. At his age, microfracture will take longer than it would for someone like, say Amare Stoudimare or Greg Oden to come back from. I know being a competetor makes you want to get back out there, but you gotta look further down the road. 10 years from now, are you going to want a knee replacement. So long, Turrrrrrry.

This surgery was going to be the end of his career, regardless of when he had it.

He tried to hold off and see if he could get one last season out of it. Unfortunately, it was a lost season for him.

It's over for him now. He'll never get his speed back, and that was his main calling card. I can't see his value without it.

Exactly. :applause:

TG was basically making a half-joke when he spoke to the media about this. Man, some of you will find anything to whine about concerning the Cowboys. Leave no tissue unturned, eh?

As for TG, I think he's done. The knee condition requires microscopic surgery. At his age, he can't afford to do the surgery and take a year off. But if doesn't get the surgery, he is asking for trouble later on in his life. He is basically walking around bone on bone in that knee. Not good.
