2006Skins
I love 'Tana. I have been the biggest fan of his since his 2 tds to beat Dallas. But I have to ask... Why is he only doing well in his career with weaker armed qbs. In NY, he had Pennington First 2 years in Was, Brunell For the last season + he had Campbell, who has a very strong arm (has played poorly) Now that Collins is in, he's playing well again. Should we assume that if you have 'Tana on your team, he can't have a qb with a rocket arm? Or is this a coincidence? :dallasuck
philal0102
Coincidence... He's a professional, he better be able to play with a strong armed QB.
robotfire
He was terrible his second year with Brunell. I think he was struggling through injury most of this year, and he's getting better.
2006Skins
This year has been awful when looking at previous seasons as well. Is it more the system you guys think?
STaylor#21
Keep in mind while he was with New York he was primarliy used on go routes. Not to mention in 2003 he had 74 receptions for 1,105 yards and I do believe that was with Chad Pennington at QB.
Diablo23
I think he's just been hurt most of this year, and really has just now gotten healthy.

909997
campbell throws the ball way too hard, santana cant handle that. only person to click with the hard throwing campbell is cooley, mcardell, and randle el. Randle els production fell when collins came in, maybe el is anti soft throws.
Grizz
I don't know, maybe it is just a coincidence, but he seems to have more drops with harder throwing QB's.

d0ublestr0ker0ll
Santana likes when the ball is laid up and he can be running full speed instead of slowing down for rockets. It's his style.

I do think that 'Tana and Campbell need to work on their chemistry with some time this offseason.

[[ghost]]
If it wasn't so rainy, then he'd have a little more than what he already has now. By little, I mean around 2 more touchdowns.
CapitalDefense
I don't know, maybe it is just a coincidence, but he seems to have more drops with harder throwing QB's. Sure he does, because Campbells ball is hard, Collins is soft. The hard ones give you one shot to get it, you catch it or it bounces off, the soft one can be bobbled and then caught. eagleskins
Campbell doesn't have a rocket arm, ala Farve, Big Ben, Brady, etc. He has about average NFL arm strength. People on this board put way too much faith in Campbell's intangibles.
ZoEd
TC has touch JC relies on arm strength. TC throws to a spot JC waits a little too long and drills the ball in there. No secret a ball being drilled to a receiver is harder to catch. Another thing TC does is keep the ball up high all the way through the throwing motion and JC starts almost at his hip. TC also was an NFL QB when JC was still in Junior High. JC is the future but I think this team needs to "stay the course" with TC until next season. JC needs to watch and learn.
