ihatenumber8
Why the hell is he trying to get NFL network to work with cable companies in time to show the Patriots vs NYG game. Go do your real job.
TrumanB
Why the hell is he trying to get NFL network to work with cable companies in time to show the Patriots vs NYG game. Go do your real job. OK, most of us already know he is an idiot. But, I'm not familiar with this NFL Network thing you speak of. Can you provide a link? Destino
I watched him talking about it on ESPN and thought he came off well. He knows damn well that his opinion as a Senator is not as easily ignored as a everyday fan, so he's stepping up and echoing what fans (and his constituents) are saying. The NFL network kidnapping of good games is a pain in the ass to fans. All he did was say that he's not cool with the idea of the Giants Pats game, with the potential of being historic, not be shown where fans across the country can't watch it. What is wrong with that? Kerry is right to do this. I don't know what planet some of you live on but Senators aren't that busy doing what you would consider to be their "real jobs". They spend most of their time fundraising. JMS
The Giants look like the last team that has a chance ( poor chance) to beat the Pat's. I'd like to see that game. Pat's playing the Jets and Maimi in their other two remaining three games. Give um hell Kerry.. I hope somebody beats the Pat's by 60 points and Tom Brady gets a broken pinkie finger on his throwing hand keeping him out of the playoffs. Beat my skins by 50 pts will ya.. I hope Miami beats them!! I now hate the Pats so much, I hope that dallas.... well let's not go crazy..

DjTj
Shouldn't he be a Steelers fan?I'm not sure Kerry is a big fan of football: ...he probably has a lot of constituents that are Pats fans though, so advocating on their behalf is probably part of his "real job." zoony
Just as an anecdote, having been out of town last week I had to find a sports bar to watch the Bears / Skins... what a pain in the ass. I had been working all day until about 1/2 hour before kickoff and I had to be at work the next a.m. at 7:00 a.m... the LAST thing I wanted to do was hang out in a bar. I would have killed to been able to put my feet up in the hotel and watch the game. (the entire state of CT doesn't carry the NFL Network) Anyways, I think it's good that a Senator is getting involved. That's what they're there for after all, isn't it? I think Kerry isn't cut out for being a receiver... Look at his style and throwing motion in this picture. It reminds me a little bit of Jesse Palmer [the Batchelor and one-time Giant back-up]. Novus
Anyways, I think it's good that a Senator is getting involved. That's what they're there for after all, isn't it? Exactly. If there's a problem with something (and the US government does have a say in broadcast rights), then that's why we elect these officials. It's nice to see leaders actually do their jobs, instead of just showing up to place their vote and crawling back into a hole.

ihatenumber8
all i was getting at is why this game. Because he lives in New England territory. Why wasn't he coming out about this earlier in the year. He is doing this only because of where he lives. Its for personal reasons. Im upset when i have to watch the ravens on cbs instead of something better or the eagles on fox when i want something better. But going crazy is stupid. Go to a sports bar.
