pointyfootball
My take on all-NFCEast this season: Offense QB - Romo sits to pee RB - Westbrook FB - Sellers WR - Owens WR - Plaxico TE - Cooley OT - Samuels, Adams OG - Andrews, Davis C - O'Hara Defense DE - Umenyiora, Cole DT - Patterson, Griffin ILB - Fletcher, Pierce OLB - Ellis, Ware CB - Springs, Newman FS - Taylor SS - Williams Special Teams K - Tynes P - Feagles KR - Cartwright PR - Mahe Coach - Coughlin And no, Mahe isn't a joke. No one else has done much as PR in the NFCE. I'm not completely sold on Cole as DE either, even though he has pretty good total numbers. And, Osi got 1/2 of his sacks in one game, so both have been pretty inconsistent. Ware/Ellis function as passrushers obviously. Coughlin, in my opinion, has done the best job in the division, based on his lame-duck status and how much his team has hated him in the past. Clearly Dallas has more talent than Giants, although Philips has done an extremely good job as well. Thoughts? PF

He has done a solid job with that group. I would put Witten in over Cooley, but since i am a big fan of what Cooley does, I would be willing to accept it. O'hare over Gurade is definitly a good choice too. I like Gurode, but if i see one more high snap or lack of snap and a penalty, I am going to go FED EX fan on him and run out on the field to tackle him..... But a very good NFCE 2008 all star team :2cents:
royallypwned
I think Cooley has been terrific this season, and should make the Pro Bowl hands down. But I think the majority of neutral observers would say that Witten is #1 with Cooley just behind. I'm not trying to sound like a biased observer (and sorry to Skins fans who will think that anyway), but that's what I think.
pointyfootball
I would put Witten in over Cooley, but since i am a big fan of what Cooley does, I would be willing to accept it. Reason I chose Cooley is that he's had no help on the outside and the running game has not been of huge help. Witten has TO and Crayton to draw defenders, opening up things underneath. And then there's the fact that Romo sits to pee is playing much better than JC. Maybe I'm just mad that AR chose LJ instead of Witten...and I can't let go. It's cool, you cant go wrong with either Cooley or Witten, bot are fantastic NFL TE"s and deserve props. I love the fact that Crayton is getting called a playmaker, man i went through so many debates with fans about how much better ARE and Lloydd are then Crayton. :applause:

I might think that Landry deserves a shot at the SS spot or at least a nod for picking up the slack in place of Sean at FS last Thursday, but otherwise pretty spot on. I'd be interested to see who you think gets ranked just behind the starters. I could say names like Strahan, Portis and obviously Witten being just below these. Except for the coach. Maybe its just my hatred of him, but I wouldn't give Coughlin honors for anything.
scyber
As a giants fan, I can't see how Tynes should be there. The man has missed 2 extra points this year. Not blocked, just shanked. That is unacceptable for a kicker. I'd be tempted to put Snee in at OG too, but he is probably a close 3rd right now.
Romo the Great
O'hara? LMAO! Chris Snee is arguably the best player on the Giants. O'hara is average.

ptr77
O'hara? LMAO!Chris Snee is arguably the best player on the Giants. O'hara is average. I could see it. As far as centers in the nfc east though, gurode is the best but he likes to high snap. Ohara is a technician who is average, and i don't know much about raybach or jackson this year. Jackson looked pretty good before, and raybach is average imo. It is a terrible shame that Snee plays in the same division as Davis, Thomas, and Andrews. Snee will never make a probowl even though he is one of the best and most aggressive guards in the nfl.

Cowboys12
I know Feagles is a seasoned vet, but McBriar has one of the, if not best, legs in the NFL.
Romo the Great
It's not THAT funny, is it? Actually, I am not sure. I just though it was funny because O'Hara is average. I didn't take into conideration the centers from others teams.

jrockster21
Only disagree with O'Hara and Feagles. McBriar can boom it - although he doesn't really punt much this year . For OC, either Gurode or Rabach should get the nod over O'Hara. Maybe I'm just mad that AR chose LJ instead of Witten...and I can't let go. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: But the Eagles are SO GOOD at drafting!! Now THAT is funny!! :rotflmao:
Romo the Great
Why do you all want a punter who can boom it? What's the point of having him if you're near mid-field? I'd rather have a guy who can pin people inside the 10 with pin-point accuracy.

helptheSKINS
SS landry over roy agreed. If you don't play on most pass downs (I think that's still happening), you shouldn't be on the list. Nice list in general though :applause:
KiMLuVzDaGMeN
Good list, though I would take out Tynes. I would not trust him, there's gotta be someone better. Though I think you maybe left out Snee, like others have mentioned.
