OxonHillSkinsFan89
Through the years we've seen many redskins players come and go so in today's Redskins Debate Series I wanted to know who in your mind is/was the Toughest Redskin. It can be one or a number of Redskins who've displayed toughness. Fought through injuries etc. etc. For me the list goes like this. 1. Riggo 2. Gary Clark 3. Sonny Jurgensen 4. Sam Huff and this may surprise you (or it may not) but.... 5. Patrick Ramsey Ok folks it time to weigh in.

Kinda surprised your list didn't include #21ST# Even though he was with us for a short time -- I really think he more than showed his toughness. RFKFedEx
Monte Coleman never complained about his salary, he just played for 16 seasons. Long Live #
HOF44
Thats an easy one. There is only 1, Pat Fischer.
RedskinsNation
Monte Coleman never complained about his salary, he just played for 16 seasons.Long Live #51 Most underrated player in Redskins History in my book. Coleman was tough....Wilbur Marshall was tough (although he only played a few years here)...the guy was a machine.
No_Pressure
Hmm... well Chris Hanburger only missed 2 games through 12 seasons as our middle linebacker...9 straight years without missing a game. He must have been pretty tough to do it, but I couldn't tell you. He retired 10 years before I was born.

Popeman38
Thats an easy one. There is only 1, Pat Fischer.QFT! I never saw him play, but I have watched footage of his style. For a small, slow guy, he placed EVERYTHING he had on the line every play. Him on defense and Gary Clark on offense should be the way everyone plays. If we could get all 53 men to lay it on the line like that every play, we would be something special.:2cents:

MartinC
In the time I have been watching (since '81) I would have to say John Riggins or Russ Grimm on offense and Alvin Walton or Wilbur Marshall on D.
worstSeat
Who was the punter right before Frost that got his nose shoved into his skull on a loose ball drill during a game? Now that fellow, and I'm embarrassed I've forgotten, was pretty danged tough. Looked like a pig walking off of the field, the nose was so bad. jimster
Thats an easy one. There is only 1, Pat Fischer. I gotta agre with this - he and Chris Hanburger were both undersized physical players that weren't afraid of throwing themselves around and almost never missed time. MintHillSkinsFan
How about Kenny Houston? Rich Milot and Neil Olkewieckz(sp?) too. Those guys were rocks at LB in the 80s. And don't forget Dave Butz and that gashed up helmet of his. On offense, Doc Walker, Don Warren, and pretty much all the Hogs. My others have already been mentioned. Hanburger, Walton, Coleman, Riggo.
Mr. S
Coleman or Fischer. I guess some of the other guys mentioned above would work as well.

unclejack8
The toughest Redskin of all time was Larry Brown. He made plays without a helmet and he wouldn't lay on the field! He would crawl off of the field first.
