TK Posted December 11, 2007 Share Posted December 11, 2007 PRESS RELEASE For Immediate Release December 11, 2007 TODD COLLINS IS NAMED NFC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Ashburn, VA – Washington Redskins’ quarterback Todd Collins was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Redskins 24-16 victory over the Chicago Bears at FedExField last Thursday. Collins entered the game for Jason Campbell in the second quarter and led the team to a crucial victory over the Bears. Collins completed 15 of 20 passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns for a quarterback rating of 144.6 on the night. Redskins’ cornerback Shawn Springs was also nominated for NFC Defensive Player of the Week with two interceptions in the team’s win over the Bears but did not win the award.
