hammerva
I guess I am in the minority here but I don't see a problem with the coverage so far. I understand that this is hard to deal with but you can't just treat the past or his background as if he is only a year old. Has he changed his life for the better. YES. Has he grown up and became a real man. YES. But the reaction of people around here is that none of these incidents ever happened. The spitting, the DUI, and arrest. Never happened. THAT DOESN'T MEAN HE DESERVED TO BE MURDERED before anyone gets that idea in their head. The media isn't treating Sean Taylor as a thug that deserved to die. The media is treating Sean Taylor as a person who made mistakes in his life and has tried (and from all accounts succeeded) to move on from society or the past or whatever. Not this "I told you he would be dead" or "big deal he is dead" that every one of you fans seem to think so.
DCFDSKIN11
ESPN has done a crappy job all throughout this ordeal. Sportscenter, PTI, etc. all have spun the negative out of this story. So has sorry ass Gary Reals from WUSA Channel 9. However, (I can't believe I'm saying this) CNN has had unbelievable, sincere coverage ALL DAY!!! Comcast has done outstanding, so did the Sports Junkies today. Thanks to all
elkabong82
I don't understand why TO gets round the clock, uninterupted coverage for swallowing a bunch of pills, yet Taylor's untimely, mysterious and tragic death only gets a segment. herb mul-key
Here is what I sent to ESPN "The coverage of the Sean Taylor story was so weak. Lazy. You did no reporting and did not even bother to look for the real story..just pathetic really...an embaressment to your already suspect reputation as supposed news source. Sean Taylor was an amazing athlete person...a great story there...he was very special to two huge metro major markets and your coverage was descpicable...you clearly had no understanding of the subject of the story." kwitt
ESPN is no longer relevant. I enjoy NFL Live and Baseball Tonight but for the most part the network is dead to me.
TD Riggo
I've tried to avoid BSPN at all costs because they only talk about the Redskins when they can make it a negative, but I do watch two things. I TiVo "NFL Live" and skip through it until I find a story about the Skins, and I do watch games that I am interested in. Anything else on BSPN is garbage (especially Tony K!) BUT today I did enjoy hearing Schlereth talk about how Joe Gibbs is THE man to lead this team, and how Joe prayed for him and all of the other injured players when he played in Washington.
