Destructis
This whole situation has been surreal to me all day. The one thing that chokes me up every time though is to see a post from fans of another team. Every time I see one like the ones posted today, my eyes well up. It hits something deep inside of me and I am sad and happy at the same time. I am sad because of the situation that has caused me to see it, but happy that there are so many people with a lot of class out there. I really can't put words to my feelings when I see these types of posts. On days like today, we aren't Skins, Cowboy, Eagles, Giants, Pats or any other teams fans, we are just football fans. I wanted to make this a new thread because I know many of you will only be checking your own threads. From the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you. daklieb
I hope they all know how much it means to us to see a fan of another team showing their respect.
Spec138
It's the least any fan could do, ST was a great player and truly did not deserve this nor does anyone else, RIP ST.

LD0506
I agree, I have been very touched with the outpouring of compassion by all fans today. I especially mention Cowboyszone and their members, they have shown us the human side behind all the rivalry hype. Touching and yet so very sad that it happened this way. harrylime70
Im a Pats fan in England and I posted my condolences on the main thread. On days like these the rivalry means nothing and we are all one..fans of the NFL. We felt tragedy ourselves before the season started with the passing of Marquise Hill and there were a number of posts from other teams fans across the Patriot boards. It was a comforting feeling to know other fans also felt our grief. Today I felt truly gutted as we say in England for the passing of a great football player. A needless waste of a great talent

Fmart322
It's the least we can do. It doesn't seem like nearly enough, but it's all we can do. I agree with you, we all lose players to injuries and other NORMAL things all the time. We break each others chops over it. When it comes to a player on your football team that dies, especially a real fan favorite like Sean Taylor, well, that's when the ball breaking stops and we all come by to give our respect. You guys are strong, you'll get through it. Just like the Eagles did with Jerome Brown, The Chargers with David Griggs and so on. RIP Sean Taylor. We hated playing against you when you were alive and we'll miss you now that you're gone. Fmart322, a Cowboys fan.

willmb5
all i know is god has one hell of a defensive backfield up there right now If he needs a former high school fullback someday, I'd be glad to play for that team when I get there (might have trouble finding WR's to line up against ST tho!). thank you for your kind words. I truly believe Sean Taylor was going to be a top safety to ever play the game, and he was quickly becoming an even better man and father to his child. He was taken from us so soon. I pray that his family can remain strong He will be missed in this world until we all meet again
