RedskinsChief
I do not post on here much, but I do enjoy reading this board every day, sometimes 2-3 times per day. A great deal of nice things and been said about Sean on here and as a lifelong TRUE loyal Redskins fan, I appreciate these comments. I never had the opportunity to meet Sean, but I love him because he played a huge part in my life as do all the Redskins….why? Because they are in my house (via TV) at least once a week, but more often than not, 2-3 times per week. They truly are our extended family. My wife and I just found out we are having our first baby. This after 4-5 years of trying and being tolf that without help, it was impossible for us to conceive. What does this have to do with Sean? Nothing…other than prove that all GOD’s gifts are precious and should be enjoyed while we have them and be thankful he presented them to us. I thank GOD for allowing us to experience Sean. I have shed so many tears since I woke this morning after a night full of prayers, only to discover my favorite Redskin was gone. I still have trouble believing it and I can only imagine how many times I will “look” for him during the Skins next game, when we know he can only be there in spirit. How many times in the future will I say…”I bet is Sean were back there……” I am shedding tears as I type this now….that’s right a 31-year old, 250 pound man crying about someone he didn’t know…an athlete…what can of a man am I? I feel a damn good one with a big broken heart. As I struggle to make sense of all this…I can only conjure up one opinion…. GOD needed a safety for his team in Heaven and drafted the best one available….. GOD bless the Redskins…coaches, staff, players and fans!!! R.I.P. #21…. Dr. Redskin
Amen. I hope he knew and accepted Jesus into his life. I pray for him and his family. If anyone knows if he was a Christian and knew Jesus, please let me know. It would help ease my mind.

Bacon
I admit, the title made me smile. I've never seen a better safety than Taylor.
SDSkinsFan84
Amen to that :point2sky I haven't been able to stop crying periodically about this all morning. I just can't believe it. It amazes me how much this bothers me and saddens me. I guess when you are so emotionally attached to something like the Washington Redskins, the players and coaches are really a part of your lives and you care about them like extended family. R.I.P Sean. We will never forget you.

gillherb
(while in tears) God couldn't defend the long ball so he took Taylor who is reportedly expected to start for his team immediately and knock the head off Walter Payton, to team up with Derrick Thomas and all those other Hall of Famers. I wish he could have lived to win us a Super Bowl. Man this hurts.

Taft
GOD needed a safety for his team in Heaven and drafted the best one available….. Your post certainly carried some nice sentiments, but this line, and the title of your thread makes me sick. "God" had nothing to do with this senseless act. Do you think "God" forced someone to enter ST's house and shoot him? He was murdered, there is nothing holy, or divine about it.
brunellguy
I admire the love this team has for Jesus and for other people. When a Redskin is in need or pain, I've become so attached that I hurt too. It is often said, "everything happens for a reason"; although I've never been really sure that I agree exactly with that statement. I can however confidently state that if anybody can make good out of a tragedy such as this, surely God can. Thank you Lord God for the time we've had with Sean Taylor and may the gift of his life forever be a light to us. Dear Redskins players and coaches: Sean Taylor would NOT want us to lose the Bill's game this weekend due to lack of preparation. Play this game, the rest of the season, heck the rest of your NFL career how Sean Taylor would play. Prepare, suit up, and utilize every last ounce of God-given ability you have out on that field! Accept the sentiment of the post and stop trying to inject theology into it. This is not a day to argue about theological details.
JaimeDeCurry
GOD needed a safety for his team in Heaven and drafted the best one available….. I have been close to tears through this whole thing, and this finally put me over the top. God really did get the best safety available. He was so damned good. It can't believe how tragic this whole thing is. I wish he could have lived to win us a Super Bowl. Man this hurts. There was no doubt in my mind that Taylor was going to be the cornerstone of a defense that took this team to the Super Bowl. This whole thing hurts so bad. I can't even imagine what his family must be going through.
