Oh how I am going to miss the ST vs RW debates

or should I say ARGUMENTS :)

some of my best moments on this board has been the heated and spirited debate threads with Poke fans over who was the better safety

Roy Williams or Sean Taylor

it's not fair that that joy was taken away from us so soon because of something so tragic and so senseless :(

I hope others will miss those threads as well

I will. I know i have been a part of them in the past, and I also know that this year, there was not debate/argument to be had. The comparrision for this season was way too lopsided, but nonetheless, I will miss them as well!

I am glad to see Roy acknowledge Sean on Dallascowboys.com, and was happy to see that they became friends at the pro-bowl......part of me really hopes to see Roy wearing #21 Thursday night to honor Sean, I think that'd be a really cool thing for him to do in Seans memory.

What a freaking shame that his life was taken, I still cant believe it, and am in total shock!

I'm not getting into any debate here, but to me it was becoming apparent that Sean was starting to fill out his potential this year. He's been the guy this year that we all knew he would be eventually. He's gonna leave a huge, huge void on that field. I think we'll probably wait the rest of our lives to find another player with his combination of skills and hunger to play the game. One of the guys I would defend till the bitter end to anyone who had anything bad to say about him. Be it a season were he seemed to try and do too much and look like he'd lost it, or a vicious hit on a Punter in the Pro Bowl.

Also there was nothing like watching a highlight reel of Sean Taylor to get you thru the offseason. A huge loss to me personally as a fan of the Redskins and an even bigger loss to the Redskins as an organization.

I hear ya bro. But there was never really any debate in the end.

Sean Taylor was going to be twice the safety Roy is or ever would be.

RIP Sean.

No debate from me this year, in years past maybe, but not this year. Taylor was emerging as one of the best, if not THE best, safeties in the league. What a shame that was taken from us, what a shame he was taken from the fans and more importantly, his family.

I haven't been around very long on this forum, but I bet there was some awesome debates(arguments) about these two back in the day....well, a couple years ago. But this season and most of last ST has been playing lights out and looking to continue to improve. While us Boys fans have been waiting for Roy to play like he is capable of and once did in his first couple of years in the league. I would have given Sean another year or 2 to take the spot as best FS in the league.

Here's to you Sean, R.I.P.

Can't even get into the debate. ST was an athletic freak of nature. Sometimes I couldn't get over how big this guy actually was. I can't even bring myself to arguing with a skins fan at this point. Just doesn't feel right. Right now it's hard to even muster hatred for GB for our biggest game of the year.

Roy said today that he was going to wear a "#21" sticker on the back of his helmet in honor of Sean.

What bothers me the most is that Taylor was always gifted physically. But this year, he was finally beginning to become a complete safety. When he hurt his knee, he was leading the league in both interceptions and (more importantly) passes defensed.

I'll definitely miss the debates though. What fun is a rivalry if you can't go toe-to-toe over stuff like that?

All that being said...I never dreamed in a million years I'd say this, but I'll be rooting for the Dallas Cowboys against the Pack. I've just been so moved by the support and the love of our rival fans, that I can't help but pull for them.

I just feel like I can't adequately express my appreciation for all you guys have done over the last couple of days. I just wish it wouldn't have taken a tragedy like this to help us find some common ground.
