adamyesme1111
Didn't really tell us anything we didn't know. It didn't really confirm anything that wasn't already confirmed neither. Still a good post though, Thanks.
SonnyRules
Thanks, TK. Looks like they are being very tight-lipped about the incident. Wonder if they have any leads.
chow184
I'm not saying they have a lead but it's common tactic for police not to say anything even when they know somthing. So they don't tip the guy off and make him go in hiding ever more than he is.

JohnnyUtah
Hey everyone. I live down here and Miami and go to law school here. I was talking to one of my friends here, who happens to actually be friendly with an individual in Sean's inner circle. He told me that they (people in Sean's inner circle) know who did this already, but it's not exactly the type of thing that they would/could take to police. I know how this sounds, but I figured that some people may find this interesting especially since not a whole lot of people knew that Sean was down here and he has a huge gate at his place. In any case, get well soon Sean.

Stew
Id be willing to contribute to a "bounty" for the shooter. Is there any place to send donations toward a reward for turning in the shooter? Can we start one?
Fred Jones
Just speculating, but this was not a burglary or robbery. This person came in to harm ST. It is sad, but that appears to be the motive.
blueskin
Thanks TK. I hope they find those ****s so ST and his family can live in peace. trez
Damn, it sounds like it was a deliberate attack. Apparently ST locked his bedroom door, and the assailants kicked in the door and shot him, then fled. http://www.miamiherald.com/news/breaking_news/story/320910.html

Depends on what kind of information that comes out the next few days, but if you had to speculate on the bits and pieces that are dribbling out, I'd say it was some kind of hit put out on Sean and some local low life thugs tried to execute the hit. Vilandil Tasardur
Depends on what kind of information that comes out the next few days, but if you had to speculate on the bits and pieces that are dribbling out, I'd say it was some kind of hit put out on Sean and some local low life thugs tried to execute the hit.The article says they cut his phone lines. I mean personally, if I was going to rob someone, I would be staking them out for a week in advance to find out when they're home and when they're not. And I would be 100% SURE that they weren't home when I went in to steal whatever I was going to steal. Moreover, I wouldn't bother cutting phone lines because it wouldn't do me any good. That, and I would steal what I wanted the first time, I wouldn't leave it there for my "second try." And on my first try, i wouldn't leave a kitchen knife on the bed, a sure sign of hostility. No, these people obviously had some beef with Sean. They went in when he wasn't home to threaten and scare him, probably to try one last time to entice something out of him. When that didn't work, they moved to kill him. The broke down his front door, with their gun obviously already in hand. I say this, because when they kicked his LOCKED (a sure sign that someone was there) bedroom door down they wasted no time in shooting a Taylor who seemed to be expecting them (who sleeps with a machete.) Just speculating, but if they were burgulars they would have to be some damn ****ty burglars. This seems like a assassination attempt to me... REEM10
ESPN news stated that the phone lines to his house was cut. His girlfreind/Fiance tried to use it to call 911 with no success. If that dont say "SET UP" I dont know what does.

dlwredskins
IMO....it has to be someone who knows him....you just don't break into a random mansion like Taylor's. I saw ST's house on TV, the person would have to know him..it just doesn't seem random. Hope he pulls through.
HailfrmDEN
I would say the intruder a week ago was looking for a gun. no one breaks in and before u get to ur bedroom door they bust it in. I'd be scared tho, i'd probley be still next to my bed with my knife if i heard a person or two running towards my door. He is 24. I dont think he will be in miami anymore, or at least i hope not. **EDIT** After alarm phone wires get cut the alarm begans to beep in some way or at least good ones. thought I'd throw that out there.:dallasuck
SeanTaylor'sFist
I hope nobody plays up the machete part too much, especially given the recent attempted break ins. My dad sometimes would work a shift where he wouldn't get home til about midnight. My mother would sleep with a big butchers knife, about 14 inch blade, under the bed just so she had something in case somebody did break in. While I don't want to say it's common, I hope the machete isn't looked as as another 'thug life' mentality. Oh, and for those who didn't hear...a guy who works with security systems called the Riggo show. He basically said when certain wires are cut the alarm will still go off but it will not be able to signal to the appropriate people (the security company, police, etc.). prayers.
