Bacon
First off, that was an incredible game. I know many of you are probably heartbroken after that (I'm a little teary myself), but guys...we had our backs to the wall constantly, and we still managed to beat them back several times. Our offense is really coming together, and it all starts with the man at the top. All you Jason Campbell haters, man up. You were wrong. This will be our QB for years to come. So he threw an interception when everyone was expecting a pass. BFD. This guy singlehandedly kept us alive, even when the receivers were dropping passes occasionally. Some of those passes were sheer magic (one-handed Moss catch anyone?). I really, really like this guy. Clinton Portis also had a good game, even when the line wasn't giving him any holes. He truly did fight his guts out. As for the receivers, Cooley was an absolute beast, and I'm really starting to like McCardell. Dude has some great hands. Moss is improving as well. Clearly, this offense is starting to blossom. The defense? Ugh...All I can say is that, while we made some key stops, we were clearly playing against a better team than we could handle without Taylor and Rogers. Had we had them in this game, things could have turned out very differently. The coaches called a good game. The play calling was very solid on both sides of the ball, and we even put the pressure on Romo sits to pee when we had to. Gibbs is clearly starting to get some faith in Campbell, which is fantastic. The fact is, at the end of the day, we were beaten on the road by a better team than we are. They are stronger on both sides of the ball, and we managed, by sheer force of will, to shove them back. If anything makes you have faith in a potential run, it's the game you just saw. We have to weather the next few games without Taylor, but both of the teams coming up are extremely beatable. Far worse than Dallas. I had very, very little interest in where this season will go from here, but now, much of my faith in this team has been restored. We CAN make a run, and it all starts next week. Let's bash the Bucs! :bucsuck:

voicekiller
Jason played great, I just wish we had a coaching staff that knew how to use this offense properly. also GW had one of the worst coaching game plans ever...how can you let TO score 3 times on the same play
mikeyf316
I agree. We were supposed to get blown out, and we showed a solid offense. None of the play calling seemed scared to me. If we have turned the corner offensively, and this is what we can look forward to, I'm happy with it. The defense still needs some depth and experience, as the lack of ST showed. Bacon
how can you let TO score 3 times on the same play Sean Taylor wasn't playing. Some other bum was. That's how.
playoffsplz
Certainly one of the better games this year. We lost and it was heartbreaking ( as usual ) but I can take a loss when my team shows some heart and battles to the end. That was good too see. I'm the opposite of you on one thing Bacon...it was up until this game I still had an interest in where this season was going and now the only thing I really look forward too is watching Campbell become a better QB. Moral victories are nice....but you still play to win. As it stands I'd say we would need to win out to have a chance at the playoffs and realistically we're bound to drop at least 1 or 2 more due to either execution or the injuries. :2cents:

The previous thought was that Taylor could be back by the Bears game. If this holds true, we could be truly dangerous down the stretch. Until then though, just hold your breath and hope for the best concerning Taylor. It's sad to say, but he is our defense. You lose him and, well, 4 TDs for Romo sits to pee. BTW, our main rival for a wildcard, the Lions, dropped another one today, and they play GB next week. Just saying.
JC girl
This game gave me a ton of optimism for the rest of the season. Our offense played great, and our defense yeah not that great, but we didnt have Sean Taylor so we had people back there who don't usually play. I figured it would be long passes to TO all day, at least there were only 3. And we kept it close. I totally think we can win the rest of our games if we keep playing like we are and get Taylor back soon!
ttr77
I see a lot of posts blasting the defense the last couple of weeks. Saunders is known for having little regard to his own team's defense when playcalling. Is anyone else concerned that as the offense begins to open it up more, that the defense is seemlingly taking a step back? Perhaps this defense is better off having a ball-control offense? greekredskin
Mixing in an occasional win would be cool too! Seriously, the game made me feel good about remainder of this year and JC's potential. Air did momentarily go out of the balloon yesterday when Gibbs decided to halt our momentum with a 50 yard field goal attempt on 4th and 1 when we had them on their heels.
