Goaldeje
Refs were hideous today. Absolutely awful. They gave us an extra timeout, in return apparently for not calling holding all day. Having said that, you would think covering TO would be a part of the gameplan...
Walking Deadman
I disagree with the McIntosh INT, but at least we weren't jobbed like we were in the Philly game. Overall I didn't think the refs. did a bad job.
bubba9497
The ball hit the ground, I hated it, but it did the only blown call all day I saw was not calling Romo sits to pee for groundingon the busted screen play, he threw it out of bounds, no receiver, didn't reach the line-o-scrimmage and he was in the tackle box... but the way TO was taking advantage of no ST, it didn't mean much, and wouldn't have mattered The Skins had there chances, and just couldn't get it in when it counted. I'm anxious to hear what Rocky has to say. All the players on both teams thought it was an INT. And, frankly, I don't think that replay was clear enough to over turn... ...but hey, they were in Texas stadium, where the refs are surrounded by players and joking with them... ...what was I thinking...? I saw two blatant holds and only saw the second half of the game. I was yelling it to the refs through my TV but the ****s didn't hear me. One against Carter and one against Griff. It was a great effort by Rocky but the refs got it right. The ball CLEARLY hit the ground. I think that was why Rocky was slow to get up. He knew it right away but when he didn't hear a whistle he thought, what the hey! :helmet:
Merlin Emrys
The refs made the right call, the ball was moving around. The refs called a surprisingly fair game.

NoCalMike
Ok I have a question. Who determines when the game takes a TV timeout. It seems very odd to me that this game had barely any commercial breaks, yet after Rocky gets the would-be INT, and the offense is on the field, all of the sudden they go to a commercial break which gives the Cowboys staff extra time to watch replays of the non-INT. As soon as Rocky made the attempt, I was screaming for the offense to run on the field and run the play, but then all of the sudden they go to a commercial break when neither team called a timeout. That really bugged me. Also, late in the game, I believe Santana Moss got pulled down and mugged, why was the penalty against the Cowboys holding and not Pass Interference? Holding gave us a meager 5 yard gain, while Pass Interference moves us to the spot of the foul which was about 15+ yards. Was the penalty somewhere else and I missed it our what? Keep in mind that I am in a sportsbar where game audio is usually drowned out by fans.

Give it a rest with the loser talk and man up. There was very little resistance from skins players including Rocky when the call was overturned. The refs made the correct call. Having said that, you would think covering TO would be a part of the gameplan... I've seen many times a time out given back when the other team had an injury. That's nothing new. And the Rocky Mac INT was dropped. That said, the better TEAM won, but the Skins made 'em sweat.

QUOTE] Don't know about the timeout, but the penalty I think you are questioning was illegal contact. Which is a 5 yard auto 1st down.
2006Skins
I just don't see how in the hell you could tell me 100% that the ball hit the ground on the Rocky int. I saw the replay and it looked like it, but it was not INDISPUTABLE (sp) evidence.

I missed it but the way they explained it.....i dunno they arent really known for their communication skills, as a fan base. Anyone catch it? Yeah, the Browns kicked a 51-yrd FG as time expired to try and tie the game. The ball hit the left upright, went threw the posts, then hit the curved base part and bounced back out. The refs kinda looked at each other confused before ruling it no good. Then they huddled up and reversed the call. The Ravens had already gone into the lockeroom. They had to call them back out to play OT which the Browns won.

I missed it but the way they explained it.....i dunno they arent really known for their communication skills, as a fan base. Anyone catch it? The ref's made the right call. Dawson kicked the FG and it hit the support bar (not the crossbar) and when it hit the bar it kicked back out so it looked no good, but the ball did go through the uprights so it was a legitimate field goal. He wasn't really flagged for being "rough" so much as he was for slapping Campbell's facemask for no reason after the play was over. Hands to the face is almost always a penalty no matter how weak it is.
