I swear that skins defeat by the Eagles was on the same level as this Eagles win over the skins mayny years ago and that was a heartbreak too

sept 17, 1989-skins lead 20-0, 37-28 with 2 min left and loses 42-37

Last Sunday took a lot of gas out of me as well. Living here in a sea of Bird- s**t green doesn't make it any easier.

Gerald riggs had 200+ yards rushing and fumbled away the game. That was week 2 after a last minute loss to the Giants on MNF. Those losses hurt far worse. At no point in that 89 game did I think we would lose. Last week, after the failure to score the TD I had a bad feeling that we would give the game away. The mentality is totally different. 0-2 to start the year in 1989 in terms of expectations would be like starting 0-10 now.

You took the words right out of my mouth. At no point during that game in 89 did I think we would lose, but last week's game right after they ran that draw play and got stopped short, I had the same feelings/thoughts as you.

This season did start out with much promise, but they have regressed - especially after the NE blowout and now it feels like the same old same we have been going through for the last 15 years.

It really was a killer, as bitter and deflating a loss as I can remember. And magnified because it was a key NFC East opponent. I'm getting close to having a WTF attitude toward this team as a personal defense mechanism from going bat**** insane. I'm not there yet, but getting close.

Well, think about the Music City Miracle, when Tennessee beat Buffalo in the AFC playoffs. Also, when Buffalo missed a chipshot FG in the Superbowl and lost 4 Superbowls altogether. They have alot to be p!ssed about. At least we have 3 SB tropheys.

It took me a Month to get that loss out my system. Maybe because I was only 14 at the time

Man I was at that game with my girlfriend, it was my early Christmas present. I was sitting behind the end zone on that infamous goal line drive.

I kept seeing Portis break tackles and pick up a chunk of yards here and there, I just knew we were gonna win and everything would be all good.

Then there was Cooley's penalty and I saw Thrash wide open. I was like **** it we can get in, then came the draw play, then when the field goal unit jogged on I got a sinking feeling like we were going to lose.

It didn't help that these punk Eagles fans sat next to us, didn't even show up until late in the 3rd and didn't say a word until the Westbrook TD. I was pissed at first but just shook my head.

It's becoming the norm.

If we're going to be around in January it starts sunday at 4.

I'm a long way from being over that game!! Dallas put the Beagles in the coffin and all we had to do was drive home the nails...and we couldn't bloody do it!!

This and that vaGiant's game are inexcusable losses...divisional rivals? ...at home? ...that's just bad business!!!

...especially when we consider that we are going to get our collective *****es handed to us this Sunday and later when we venture into the Meadowlands...where we never win...or at least, haven't in a while

***What a sad way to spend my 500th Post***
