Winning Season Please!
Gibbs: "Well, we had some communication problems. I wasn't sure what to do, so I told Jason to just take a knee on first down. Then, we decided to call a timeout. During the timeout, we got confused again, so we decided to call another one. I couldn't really hear Al over the headsets, so I told Jason to just throw it away on second down. On third down, we called a dive play for Mike Sellers-- might have to rethink that one seeing we were on the 9 yard line. Then, we totally forgot it was 4th down, but when we tried to call another timeout, the refs told me we were out-- forgot about the one in the first quarter. At that point, I just told Jason to spike the ball. Instead, he used his best judgement and ran that dive play to Sellers. Came up a bit short." This was the best one! I found myself reading outloud doing my best impression of JG.
Winning Season Please!
Actually, I don't see anything funny about it. That is because you are a "true fan.";)
ALLWORLD
That is because you are a "true fan.";) Oh well that means the rest of us aren't.. You're an idiot, get over yourself and this moronic love to the L column. You people wanna sit back and claim who is or is not a fan by finding humor in this are just plain ignornant. Go play in traffic, get over it.
pjfootballer
The people who are denying this is funny are saying that because they know everything in it was true to the last word.
ALLWORLD
To the OP, thank you for making me laugh... It sucks that this team is so horrible at times and that JOE GIBBS can only make a MOCKERY out of himself when he does these "pressers". I appreciate the laughter you have given. Making fun of JG while he is trying to fight his guts out for his team and fans like you. Very disrespectful indeed. No, the "Fire Gibbs" website is disrespectful. If I booed him when I see him on Sunday... that would be disrespectful. I think this was clearly "playful." Joe Gibbs is one of my all-time idols and always will be. Guest Rafterman
Not sure how I got my hands on this, but......(remember-- laughter is the best medicine) Q: "Coach Gibbs, what happened out there today?" Gibbs: "Obviously, we fought our guts out. As a matter of fact, on my way back towards the tunnel, I found some of Jimmy Farris' guts lying around the 10 yard line." Q: "Coach, are you afraid you could lose the team following this 50 point loss?" Gibbs: "The thing here is, we're all in this together. It's a great group of guys. They may be awful football players, but as people, man, they are awesome." Q: "What happened at the end of the first half down there on the goal line?" 11. ArtMonk_fav.redskin
I agree with you that our players are scared and have no emotion. If you watch the NFL Replay of the Redskins v. Patriots again (unfortunately, I still have it on TiVo just in case we meet them again the Super Bowl... LOL), they open with Marcus Washington trying to pump up the defense. The disturbing thing about it was that the players looked scared and unresponsive. The group did not even include the entire starting defense let alone other members of the Redskins team. That was unreal and disappointing... If they are all in this thing together, they should start by huddling up and getting FIRED UP as ONE TEAM before going onto the field. :dallasuck Makes you really miss Monte Coleman huh? :logo:
Lee55055
haha that was a good read. The funny thing is... that I could actually hear Gibb's voice when I was reading all of that.
