PCS
I think Nevada and Wyoming are up there in part because those are the places folks here in Utah go for real beer and cheaper liquor. * Whoops. Did I say that out loud? :halo:
WVUforREDSKINS
WV has some of the highest/heaviest drinkers per capita in th U.S. according to what I have learned in my alcohol classes (drunk in public freshman year) at school And it isn't just because of WVU. chomerics
Not surprised to see NH at the top. The rest areas on their major highways have State Liquor Stores. And why do you think that is?
dwbiggs
I see the Irish are keeping up the tradition. Also thought the Scandinavian countries would be drinking a little more.
China
Follow-up: http://www.time.com/time/2007/america_numbers/alcohol.html Americans drank enough last year for every person to down 7 bottles of liquor, 12 bottles of wine and 230 cans. That may sound like alot but one-third of Americans don't drink, and the U.S. ranks 40th in the world in alcohol consumption per person. Taylor4Life
Having been to Mexico quite a few times, I am pretty shocked at their low rating in this catagory. Yeah, I was surprised by that too. But I think all of the drinking that goes on in the tourist cities is offset by the fact that for the most part Mexico is still a VERY conservative country.
