CRobi21
]']Snyder will pay the hell out of Taylor. Cooley is the man on offense' date=' Taylor is a stud on defense. We've built this D around Taylor. We drafted Taylor, then provided him a Corner, Speedy OLB, another S, and his future MLB. If I'm right, we SHOULD be going after the D-Line sometime soon.[/quote']
Lombardi's_kid_brother
I couldn't tell if it was sarcastic either. The first guy that came to my mind was Edgerrin James. I wonder how he feels?!? Rich.
Lombardi's_kid_brother
As long as Coach Williams is here next year, Sean Taylor will be too. Considering that Taylor is under contract for three more years, how do you envision a scenario in which he is not here next year? Is he going to sue to get out of his contract? Does everyone here understand how contracts work?
Santana_Fan
Greg Williams won't let "the best player he ever coached" leave.
mistertim
I'd like to see them just give him a new contract this offseason. Yes he has another couple of years on it but the guy is a stud and every year that we don't give him a new contract the market price for a player like him keeps going up more and more. SkinFromNepal
Exactly. No player in history has ever left a contender! That is not true... if this was true no one would have left Colts, Patriots and Steelers.
Seabee1973
if the redskins are smart and have learned their lessons ST will be resigned by the end of the season to an extension which willpay him graetly but i doubt that as they are probably gonna see whoi turns out better Landry or ST and the winner will stay. Thoth
with the way sean taylor has been playing this season im sure alot of teams are checking him out since his contract is up soon. do you guys think he wants to stay here and if so will we pay him what he wants? Whatever the failings of our owner, one thing he excels at is signing the people he wants. The problem is, he usually or often wants guys that aren't worth what he is willing to pay. Snyder can throw a MONSTROUS signing bonus at him. The only thing that can stop us is tons of dead cap money, ie, more boneheaded Lloyd signings. Also, safety is hardly an absurdly high-paid position like QB, DE, etc. This means franchising him, if it came to that, really gives us more leverage than usual, as the deal Snyder might offer could be more than franchise average, plus include mongo bonus. The only X factor is that he REALLY likes Florida. . .if one of the FL teams was a contender and offered him a big deal we could have trouble. NattyLight
Dude, he's going to get the maximum allowed under his rookie contract. He's got Moss, McIntosh, and Portis on his team. He knows he's going to get paid through the nose when push come to shove. If I were you, I'd worry about other things.
Tom Sullivan
Players (just like anyone leaving any job) leave for a whole lot of reasons, and like I don't generally believe being on a contender or not has anything to do with it.
S.T.real,lights,out
Taylor is here to stay, c'mon. I thought that same thing about Lavar and Champ.

Meskeet21
exactly, everyone thought champ was gonna stay, so dont be to sure on sean, i hope he stays, i love him
shhrz
Champ Bailey is a MUCH better player than ST and they let him go. ST might want to leave for the same reasons that Champ did; you can never tell. Also, they paid archulleta that much money, imagine how much money ST is gonna ask for. is a safety really worth that much cap space?
Smurf85
Taylor signed a 7 year deal and this is his forth year. So he has another 3 years on his contract after this year. With that being said I expect him to get a extension this up coming off season.
Lombardi's_kid_brother
That is not true... if this was true no one would have left Colts, Patriots and Steelers. No player has ever left the Colts, Patriots and Steelers. For all NFL players are noble and know that at the end of the day, you only have your character. And fine cocaine. At the end of the day it's basically your character and the best Yay Miami has to offer.
ashsra
Why is everyone sweating this now? I heard the same comments regarding Cooley but at least those were legit since he would have been a free agent after this year. If Taylor keeps playing the way he does, why wouldn't Snyder pay him? Taylor seems pretty happy here to me, and considering GW loves him why wouldn't he want to stay?
Potato Sack
I really don't think Snyder will let ST get away. I think ST going to get a huge offer to stay.
