NavyDave
This game is far from a cake walk and Favre is not a statue like the Lions QB. The Packers, coming off of a loss, is not going to look past us or take us lightly. And while I do hope we get pressure with a 4 man rush I expect to see the defensive line needing and getting help. Our right side is jelling with the new tackle and guard and it will be interesting to see how our o line handles their defensive ends. This wil be a tough game that hopefully we can win in Lambeau
tone_dubbz
I think this game will be a lot closer than the Lions game, but I see us winning by 7 points. They can't run the ball, so we'll be ready to pick Brett off.

SkinsFanAnt
We can beat this team easily if Favre doesn't have a Favre day. Our CBs can match up with their WRs but we're talking about Favre here. I really don't think they're overrated...but our offense needs to do what it did last week and thats be aggressive while controlling the clock....that was what was lacking against the Giants in the 2nd half. Soup
Yes, the redskins have a better team but will that result in a win? I wouldn't hold guarantee it. I saw for the first time on Sunday the skins using all they have against a team but it is only one game and lions defense stinks. For the redskins the Greenbay Packers are also their first strong team they have faced. The question is not if the skins can beat the packers it if the redskins team we all saw on Sunday against the lions will show up or the one that let the giants score three touchdowns in the second half. ronnix
this should be a win for the skins. matchups favor us for a change. the defense at this stage has turned things around. we are now playing joe gibbs football. solid defense, and a offense that is comfortable, moving the ball. jason is proving many naysayers, wrong. i remember all the crying when joe went after jason. wasting two picks. well i guess he is a hall of famer for some reason. same crying about rogers, and landry. no defensive linemen. oh wait, we have two sixth round picks golston and montgomery playing, how lucky of the skins to get them. oh, we need to draft defensive linemen. gee, i guess greg williams knows a little more than some fans as well. we need to enjoy what is going on now, injuries can bring the season to a stand still. i have been surprised, by the play of wade at off tackle. kendall is doing real well. lets hope there are no more offensive line problems. jasjhughes
The Eagles and Giants' date=' both started out 0-2 and couldn't get out of their own way. Of course, the Giants appear to be getting a little bit better handle recently, but only after playing Green Bay in week 2. San Diego was 1-3 when they met Green Bay. Minnesota is 1-3 now, and Chicago was 1-3 going into the week 5 match up against the Pack. At the time Green Bay faced these opponents, the opponents had only 3 wins among them, combined. [/quote'] The same could be said about us. Detroit had all 3. We were 2-1 against previously winless teams. (Miami still is)
Lloyd Braun
Nobody is any good. HA HA! So true. 7-9 might be a wildcard in the NFC this year. 8-8 is probably a lock. I don't get the BCS mentality some people have when it comes to the NFL. It isn't about rankings it's about record. Seattle has a good record every year that gets them into the playoffs and gives them a chance. Is it because they are so good or is it becasue they are in a division with SF, Arizona and St. Louis? Look at the Patriots division. If the Pats go 16-0 is there going to be an asterisk because their division sucks? Nope, (maybe one for cheating though). Teams who stink today may have a chance at the end if they are playing well in December, possibly needing to win that final game of the year to get the magic number 7. As you so eloquently stated, "Nobody is any good".
cozmikbuffalo
The way you are determining who is the better team by examining opponents records would by your own logic put the Redskins in the same place as the Packers wouldn't it. Miami-1-4 Philly-2-2 N.Y. -3-2 Detroit-2-3 I believe that if we can go into Green Bay and win then we can start to really think of ourselves as having the potential to be a very good team this season. It will be interesting to see how Gregg Williams designs the defense for the Pack. They not only have a potent passing game but can run it too very well. Make no mistake this is going to be our toughest challenge to date. It is a game that I believe we definitely have the ability to win. It will take a great effort and first class planning though. BigRay
The Packers is a good team you kind of saw it coming at the end of last season they were on a roll. They are good but they are beatable they are not a dominating team. There isn't a team in the NFC I have seen yet that I would consider a dominating team certainly not the Cowboys by a long shot or any of the other division leaders. SkinsFTW
If the coaches can gameplan this game as well as last week and the offense actually gets it together for the whole game then we should win. If it's like last week with the offense being off and on in the first half then we could lose, it is a road game.
dieselfan44
I worry about every game....especially since my expectations are fairly high at this point in the season...After the way that we played last week its hard to think negatively. With that in mind every week in the NFL is tough. I think that we should win. But I would not dare guarantee anything.

Campbell's_da_man
The way you are determining who is the better team by examining opponents records would by your own logic put the Redskins in the same place as the Packers wouldn't it. Miami-1-4 Philly-2-2 N.Y. -3-2 Detroit-2-3 Not my thoughts at all. I didn't make a case for who was a better team between us or Green Bay based on their schedule alone. I simply stated that they aren't as good as their record says they are. True, the redskins have not faced a multitude of winners either, but before the season began, it was a no brainer that Miami would be weak with a new coach, system and QB. We knew that Detroit wasn't going to be a contender, while Philly and NY Giants are divisional games. The difference is that Green Bay is disquised as one the league's elite teams, simply because they were 4-0 and defeating last years top contenders. We won't see any top contenders until we go to New England, other than our divisional games. I did say that I believe we are a better team than Green Bay, and I'll hold on to that one. However, the better team doesn't always win, and that's why they play the game. I also said we need to bring our "A" game to win it, and to not let their crowd talk us out of it. This will not be a cake-walk by any means, just saying that this game is very winnable for us. I hope this clears it up some, thanks for sharing. pjfootballer
This is no gimme game by any means. We just have to play like we did last week and we should be able to get out of there with a close win. 24-20 type score.

dcsmooth
Let's not get high and mighty about fumbles...see Clinton Portis. This goes w/o saying but if our defense plays like it did on Sunday, we will be 4-1. If they play like they played against the ants in the 2nd half, we'll be 3-2. I feel pretty good about this game and our team. I have a few good natured bets going with some GB fans I know and love and I'm going to love to collect. Hail to the Redskins!!! :packsuck: :packsuck: :packsuck: I honestly don't think the Redskins will have another game like they did against the Giants. That type of game was a total disaster, and is far behind us. The defense is back on track, and the offense has truly found its rythm. By November/December, all will see that the Redskins are an all better team than the Cowboys.

#44XTREMEPOWER
Skins roll over the pack by 14 or more the Pack are exposed as possers and farve runs for his life and realizes that being a broad caster is far safer then lining up against the Skins D Believe HAIL
ExoDus84
Here are some more stats for you, Per ESPN.com Green Bay: 4-1 NFL Rank, Offense: 6th NFL Rank, Defense: 17th Redskins: 3-1 NFL Rank, Offense: 12th NFL Rank, Defense: 3rd Green Bay has played opponents with the following ranks: 1) Philly - 9th (Defense), 14th (offense) 2) NY Giants - 13th (Defense), 16th (offense) 3) San Diego - 22nd (Defense), 18th (offense) 4) Minnesota - 18th (Defense), 20th (offense) 5) Chicago - 23rd (Defense), 30th (offense) Skins have played opponents with the following ranks: 1) Miami - 24th (Defense), 19th (offense) 2) Philly - 9th (Defense), 14th (offense) 3) NY Giants - 13th (Defense), 16th (offense) 4) Detroit - 29th (Defense), 13th (0ffense) Green Bay Opponents Average Rankings: Defense: 17th Offense: 20th Redskins Opponents Average Rankings: Defense: 18th Offense: 15th From this you can conclude both teams have played other teams with similar defensive rankings, and that the skins have played teams with noticeably better offenses. Despite this, the redskins defense ranks SIGNIFICANTLY higher, while our offense ranks a little below green bays. Seeing as how we are by far the best defense that Green bay has faced, and that green bay is not the best defense we've played, I see us having the edge. vegeta613
I think Green Bay fans can say the exact same thing about us Case and point this game will be the toughest to date for both teams It's definately a winable game for us but I don't think we can continue to give up chances like we did vs Detroit We won 34-3 because dominated but we did leave alot on the field that game. We can't afford not to recover fumbles (2 missed chances), missed snaps that take us out of field goal range and a portis fumble close to the redzone against the packers I doubt we will dominate the pack like we did the lions so we have to learn to take advantage of every chance we get
