TK
Has Joe finally benched himself from calling plays and let Al have at ALL the play calling? Or did he want a 3 TD lead because he still knows how fast Martz's Offense can put up points?
playoffsplz
I'd like to think he made that decision himself. He's been on his game today.
bschurm
Ok TK, that thread title was pure blasphemy!!!! It is smart in that situation to call for 2.

TK
Ok TK, that thread title was pure blasphemy!!!! Remember when Spurrier benched himself from calling plays? We started winning. Today, we're not being conservative at all. Today has been balls to the wall attacking football. They've definately loosened up the training wheels on Campbell. MonkFan8
3 TD lead for sure. I was seriously worried about this Lions offense, they can put points on the board. Luckily our secondary came to play and they never even got started.
stevenaa
The play calling was very different today. It felt more Saunders-esque, if that makes any sense. I liked what I saw for the most part, except for the end of the half. I think we should have been more aggressive on the last 3 plays.
Oldskool
I don't know if we can say if Joe or Al were calling the plays today. I believe that it was Detroit's pours defense that allowed us to have the production we had today.
tr1
Ah, Gibbs and the coaching staff are too old...the game has passed them by...how much longer can we tolerate this staff??!!?

Bat~man
Hopefully he just realizes what kind of killer instinct it takes to put teams away , and did he ever today , I'm actually mad we gave up the FG now lol , a complete game , wish Portis would have broke the 100 yard mark but he didnt ,oh well this was a great win and im completely stoked ! zCommander
In software development version 2.0 is always better then version 1.0. I am not sure how other can think the game has just passed JG by.
bschurm
I am hoping that what we saw today was Gibbs trusting Saunders and his philosophy. There didn't seem to be any major communication breakdowns, so........ I hope this is the indicator that we become a top flight offense in the NFL. Dan T.
That's a by-the-book call at that point. . .
Toe Jam
Even the guy calling the game said "they've really taken the handcuffs off of campbell today". See what happened?
Mackdaddydean
I think it was just a normal thing to do. If you don't get it they down by 19 instead of 20 with the extra point. Why wouldn't you go for two to make it 3 TDs. Its not as if he risked a whole lot there. Good call
Bacon
Has Joe finally benched himself from calling plays and let Al have at ALL the play calling? Or did he want a 3 TD lead because he still knows how fast Martz's Offense can put up points? I would have done the same thing. It made sense mathematically.
