redskingluvr
we r 2-1, not really time to start all the crying and assessing yet. I dont think we need to worry about gibbs, but honesstly the players look lackadaisical and like they r more worried about their petty littel worlds and attitudes than winning. Back in Gibb's hayday I was playing hi school ball and our coach was a hardass ex marine that literally worked us so hard 2 guys fell over dead. The spirit and fight that existed then these players seem totally devoid of. To me it is not just that it seems all about being big time and rich to the owner, but the players seem to be of the same ilk with a few exceptions. I wonder if gibbs may feel that his job has changed from firing up men to go to war, to babysitting whiney bitxhes who cop attitudes regularly. wbar3383
Kids Juast stupid kids. If you don't like the team, LEAVE.......... Just that friggin simple. Go whine somewhere else. We all use this board to converse about the team with friends, NOT listen to a bunch of whiny little immature kids who cant understand why no one will give them an insta superbowl so they can go to work and act like jerks and rub stuff in everyone's face. Kinda funny that the people who moan like old streetwalkers on this board are the same people who act like stupid jerks when their team wins. I say, if you cant support your team during the bad times, you have no right whatsoever to celebrate the good times.
Dallsux
ok the skins have talent i want to see results i dont care if my comment is cute i want a coach that can produce results We have one, jr. Grow up.
Dallsux
But you never know! There may still be hope for these sad people. After all, I was one of the biggest Joe Gibbs homers on this board, and I have seen the light. Man, am I glad I don't drink from the same water cooler you do. I must be a really sad person. Cuz, where Gibbs is concerned, there is NO HOPE for me. That man could take us to an 0-16 record & I would still be drinking his koolaid. :koolaid:
Dallsux
I'm tired of the ( 6. Do not attempt to circumvent the profanity filters.) Gibbs has only had one bad season since he came back and thats because he was trying to build a football team for the long term, any moron should have realized you don't just stick Al Saunders in a system and get great results in six weeks. He stuck in Saunders for the long term, so if/when Gibbs leaves it won't be a complete departure like it was last time. Gibbs did what so many of you have been complaining about we took a step back last year so we could move forward in future years. Look at our record we're still winning, the next person to put "Gibbs should retire" should get some sense smacked back in them. For the first time in a decade we have looked like a football team for more than one year. If your so sick of Gibbs go root for a different team, hey I hear the Chargers are supposed to be hot in 07, go root for them. </rant> Hahaha. Amen, bro. Geoff_K
KidsJuast stupid kids. If you don't like the team, LEAVE.......... Because some dont like some aspect of the coaching or players they dont like the team ? Glad you cleared that up for everyone. Just that friggin simple. Go whine somewhere else. Last time I checked this board was to talk about the Redskins. I do not recall a rule where everything has to be all kittens and cuddles. Maybe I missed that. We all use this board to converse about the team with friends, NOT listen to a bunch of whiny little immature kids who cant understand why no one will give them an insta superbowl so they can go to work and act like jerks and rub stuff in everyone's face. The use of the work "all" doesnt seem to apply does it ? (some do whine alot though) Kinda funny that the people who moan like old streetwalkers on this board are the same people who act like stupid jerks when their team wins. Interesting you can tell this from a post on a forum, got a line on the lotto numbers ? I say, if you cant support your team during the bad times, you have no right whatsoever to celebrate the good times. Being dissatisfied with some aspect of the teams play does not make one not a fan. I take it you never go ohhhhh crap when a bad play happens, cause then you are not a fan (by your logic) It just cracks me up when people decide that A B C makes one a fan. Do I have to buy X amount of team gear to be a fan ? Season tickets ? Paint my home certain colors ? I cheer for the skins every week for the last 30 years. I have screamed at the TV when we did something poorly. I have cheered so loud it scared my dog when we did something right. I belive we can win the division this year. I also belive that we can do dumb things that cost us games. Until there is a rule where we cannot mention negative events that happen in a game I reserve the right to mention them IF they bother me enough. That being said, he had good expierience in that particular football era before he became the skins head coach in 1981 and started bringing in Superbowls and getting us to the playoffs almost every year. I for one would nvr expect a coach, (even a HoF coach) come out of retirement and take this team to the SB in just 2-3 seasons. Specially as bad of shape we were in when he came back in 04. I'm not so sure it will be this season (being his 4th season back) but i bet by 2008-2009 we are going to be a very, very good team. Possibly another 10 year run

Siven
When you watched the latest Joe Gibbs interview? It was kinda of like watching that quiet friend everyone has just snap and get angry, it was uncomfortable to see, and it was almost frightened a little bit it caught me so off guard.. I liked seeing it. I think Gibbs has had enough of the excuses, the poor play and the poor coaching and his frustration is showing. a lot of the poor coaching is his fault. He's the man at the top so he is responsible.

TSO
Know what scares me?Spiders. Like seriously. Spiders freak me the **** out. It's not even rational. I see a spider, and I know I could kill it just by squishing it between my fingers. But I seriously think that spider is going to kill me if I try. I think it's the large number of eyes and legs. Nothing should have that many of either. And while we're talking about irrational fears: I wear contacts. I'm pretty much blind without them. And I'm deathly afraid that one day, I'm gonna be flying in a plane or something, and it's gonna crash, and I'm gonna be stranded on an island somewhere. Just waiting for my contacts to wear out. Knowing that once they do, I'll have absolutely no chance of survival. How ****ing scary would that be? I know it's never going to happen, but the absolutely minute possibility keeps me up at nights before I fly. What are you guys scared of? Dude. I totally agree. Spiders are freaky. They're like from another planet. I also don't recall ever hearing about Gibbs 1 losing the entire right side of the hogs in one season while starting a QB who has experience in like 9 NFL games, along with an injured starting running back, while still getting berated with questions every week about why he isn't opening up the offense like everyone expected like he's some senile old loser who hasn't done anything in this league and never figured out how to run an offense (with inexperienced or injured weapons). Jesus show some maturity and respect for the best thing that ever happened to this organization. There is nobody out there who could be doing a better job with this team. Not Bill "I was a terrible coach until I got handed Tom Brady by accident" Belichick, not Tony "I inherited the best QB/WR combo in NFL history" Dungy, nobody. That was shweet man. Craig
I am old enough to remember Gibbs and his Super Bowl wins. But that was yesteryear. That gets you squat in this day and age. To me, Gibbs II is not anywhere near what Gibbs I was. I love Gibbs for what he did in the past, but honestly, I can't wait for him to retire again so we can look to the future. Aireskoi
I didn't realize that just because you are a great coach, you are supposed to win a Superbowl at least once every 3 years. That's all he has been back. He took over a bad team and has done his best with little cap room to assemble some guys he can win with. He has already won a playoff game and has us with a winning record after 3 games. We have a road division win against the Eagles, and an AFC win over Miami. The point that everyone is making about the past Superbowls that Joe has won for our team is that Joe has credibility. He is not Norv Turner or Steve Spurrier. Lets give him the time it takes to get this team winning consistently. To Redskin fans who have seen Joe do what Joe has done, we are patient with the coach. To us, no one could do it better or sooner than Gibbs. I do not differentiate between JG I and JG II, he is still the man and using his own history against him is insane. Imagine that, he wins 3 Superbowls and now gets to compete with himself to prove he is a good coach.

mi6
I have been saying this for a while, with ALL due respect to coach Gibbs ... he is a has been. The coaching staff for the Skins is the biggest most experienced any team has. And, it has nothing special to show for it. The offense stinks. It can't put up more than 20 points... and, that is not going to win you games. The running game is dormant, and the production from the TE and WRs is not impressive. I will admit Gibbs seems to not be getting how the NFL is played today, but he knows his weaknesses and went out and got Saunders. I don't particularly think his system was weak regardless Gibbs has done everything I think he could do to get this team winning, at some point this has to fall into the lap of the players. I think I'm one of the few that think bringing Saunder's here was a mistake.. I think it just muddied the waters. All I hear is that Gibbs is old, or washed up or clueless.. Everyone seems to forget it was his 20 year old antiquated system that got us to the playoff's two years ago. His system worked when the players executed it. At the point the players were starting to get what he wanted to do, he brings in Saunders and changes everything again. I think we'd of grown from year to year if Gibbs stuck with his way of doing things and didn't bring Saunders in.

God do i belive this more than anything i think you put it the best way possible gibbs comes in we suck we start doing decent and then we bring in saunders we sucked and now we are starting to do decent so hopefully no changes go down in the main coaching departments and in a year or two more we should be the TEAM we all want to see playing sunday and yes i said TEAM cause its not gibbs, portis, cooly, moss, saunders, etc. Its a TEAM its all of them for one

Longbomb
Gibbs cost us a lost last game why are you guys all over him? Not enough time to read every post but Gibbs didn't lose this game. They're on the freakin one yard line. They hand the ball off to Ladell Betts (who I'm sure you were on his bandwagon ) last year and screaming "get rid of Portis" and he didn't make it and then he didn't make it again. That's the way the game goes son...get over it. Not trying to piss you off but I think JG has some thinking to do and he doesn't need us telling him what needs to be done. Remember he's getting paid $5,000,000 a season. Goodness that would be sweet

docsandy
Gibbs ranting now is the sympton of a desparate man no longer in control of events. Scary. Surely you remember his rants at halftimes of games during his SuperBowl years. Losing one's temper does not indicate desperation. Losing one's temper is letting off steam because of how the media are treating the players and the team.
AJ_Skins
Gibbs is a Hall of Fame Coach. The problem is, he is not a great evaluator of talent. The degree to which Bobby Beathard and Jack Kent Cooke contributed to the team's success is underestimated. Cooke + Beathard >>>>>>>> Snyder + Cerrato. That's what it boils down to.
