jrfriedm
So Gibbs is in a foul mood, which means that team will be worked good and hard and "should" come out in a very aggressive and agitated state of mind.
dieselfan44
What a great interview.I just watched it on redskins.com and was glad to see JG with a little fire about him....I'd love to see him coach that way on Sunday. I think the players would respond well to coach lighting a fire under their asses.
SkinsHokieFan
I just hope the stress level with the staff isn't at the same level that it was prior to the 2006 opener Go do your thing Joe

Riggo#44
The video version is up.www.redskins.com I would not want to be the Lions after watching that. This team is going to be ready.
skinsfan93
Wow!...that was great to see. To me, that's the most I have seen him fired up since he came back to coaching. Hopefully it's not out of frustration with coaching but rather trying to get the troops up for this pivotal game.
monkforhall
That horrible tasting Giant game might turn out to be "just what the doctor ordered". Now it's go time. Whoooo.
cfcrider
That reporter who asked the last question about Gibbs' supposed statement on preferring a 70% run game plan is a total idiot. He looks like the ugliest dufus I've ever seen - someone that even a crackwhore wouldn't go for. I'd love to punch him repeatedly in the face, then have Joe Gibbs piss on his wounds. Passizle
He's either angry about the Giants game and how they played and is ready to unleash hell on the Lions or he is angry after a lackluster week of practice and is not looking forward to Sunday. My bet is about 10 people argue that he's a man on a mission, 10 people argue that he's a frustrated old windbag, this one goes 5+ pages back and forth before we all conclude that we hate Brandon Lloyd. In classic ES fashion no less. GREAT POST!!!:applause: :applause: :applause:
ashsra
This is actually a really good sign. Usually a fired open Joe = blowout win for the team. This is the guy I've been waiting to see, they said in Gibbs I players feared Joe and now I see why. I remember when we played Buddy Ryan and the Eagles Joe's last year and apparently he was so mad at the previous loss he called the players '*******' during the week. We went on to crush the Eagles. The Full Monty
For some reason, I always feel better when Gibbs is Doom n' Gloom Yeah, he was like that before the Monday Night game in Dallas 2005.

monkforhall
Sunday can't get here soon enough, that got me so fired up. I bet it's doing the exact same thing to his players. God help anyone that goes in Area 51 on Sunday.
Campbell's_da_man
I don't know if I should take his response as good or bad. I can't remember ever seeing him wearing that type of attitude on his sleeve. One thing is certain, something or someone has gotten under Gibb's skin. He's definitely fired up about something, and we can only hope our boys will come out smokin' hot on Sunday!!!
Rocky21
Why would Joe Gibbs saying "balance" remind JLC of Thomas Dolby? What a weirdo.

Horatio
"We need to get A win someWAY, and it's going to take every swinging soul we've got." WTF is a 'swinging soul'? Is Gibbs so pure that can't use the word 'dicks'? I can just imagine that one getting played 50x on ESPN....
Jumbo
I thought it was a fun read. Someone page method man and let him know that "the mods" think JLC is just the coolio-est and w00t-iest teen-beat writer ever-so-ever!
illone
I want a swinging soul t-shirt. Seriously, though, this is good. I hope to see 60 minutes of smash mouth football on Sunday.

pjfootballer
Now this is what I like to hear. An animated Coach Gibbs, pissed off, angry, passionate. This will be great if it translates to the players on the field. I want us to pound the Lions, pound them some more, and not let up. Should be a very physical game. :applause: This is what we needed. A little fire and brimstone. Love it JG, Love it! :applause:
No_Pressure
And trade CP because Dan is the debil for pushing both 70th & 75th anniversary jerseys. Damn it how could I leave out the CP is an injured worthless back that we need to trade (so we can start Betts) and Dan Snyder is only celebrating something so he can screw over the fans thing
