Potato Sack
I was watching some video online and had to write this down. I hope you all enjoy it! The Show I can smell the earth rising The metal bouncing beneath my feet The brass is blasting Hail And the lights pop on when 44 Barrels in for 6 His smile is as bright On the sideline today As it is under the lights in Canton As it was when we lifted Another trophy into the sky 17 won us one 17, they say, might “Leave us on the bottom of the barrel” We like it that way But I can smell the rebirth of victory Resurrected on the sideline Kneeling in prayer Hoping that he hasn’t let us down In the distance I hear The words echoed in the air: “We Want Dallas” Just like it was years ago And when 26 finally Dances free to the goal line Just before the show I want to smell the earth rising And the metal shaking Beneath my feet

Dan T.
I never had the metal shake before my feet, but it must have felt good. Hail! You may be too young to have ever been in the stands at RFK when the stands bounced up and down. Which I think is what Potato Sack might have been talking about. An awesome thing to witness from across the stadium. That entire section literally rocked. Or he might have been talking about how thousands of feet stomping on the metal flooring of the bleachers caused what felt and sounded like a mini-earthquake, with the stands shaking in a thunderous roar. CM916
Good stuff, reminds me of the Torresa video where you see Doug Williams and Jason Campbell throwing TD passes simultaneously. You know what really ties our glorious past and our bright future together? The man on the sidelines running the show: Joe Gibbs!
