Pats caught cheating?

The Patriots' cameraman was suspected of aiming his camera at the Jets' defensive coaches who were sending signals to their unit on the field, the sources said. The league also is investigating some radio frequency issues that occurred during the game.

Seems pretty shady to me, and apparently it's not the first time it has happened.

And what's with the "radio frequency issues"?

In fact, Green Bay Packers president Bob Harlan confirmed a similar incident that occurred when the Patriots played at Lambeau Field last Nov. 19. The same cameraman who was questioned by NFL security on Sunday was also the one whom the Packers removed from the sideline and escorted from the field during their 2006 game, according to Packers security official Doug Collins.

"From what I can remember, he had quite a fit when we took him out," Harlan said. "We had gotten word before the game that they [the Patriots] did this sort of thing, so we were looking for it."

A Jets official declined comment Monday, directing an inquiry to the league office. The Patriots also did not have immediate comment.

Wow, that says alot about that team

Radiop frequency issues could be the Pats interfering with or attempting to gain access to the Jets audio signals. Either way, if this is the second time they have been caught, they will get hammered by Goodell.

Nothing will come out of this. Yes, they have been accused of it before not sure of how many of you remember but it was basically swept under the rug. The league can review all they want, but that evidence dosent show there Camera man stealing signals from the Jets booth. This wont even be an issue in a week and i doubt we will ever here anything esle about it. I have my concerns that the Pats might be in the wrong, but unfortuantly the Jets wouldnt of beat them if they would of stole there signals this team is 4 real

It will be interesting to see what comes out of this.

Nothing. 100% sure about that. Try and find something about Harrison and steroids. The man took drugs and NO ONE CARES - no one. Not the media, not the fans, not the NFL (4 game suspension).

Nothing will happen on this I bet.

All it takes is a person with the right vantage point (cameraman?) and the ability to read lips.

I've thought about this for quite some time, so it doesn't surprise me that a team would actually do it.

Hey, the Jets brought in like 3 ex-Patriot players the past few weeks in order to help with the gameplan. You still have to execute the plays. I would think it would be better for a defense to know the offensive calls, but that's just me.

The league's competition committee could conduct a conference call about the incident, which violates NFL policy, and ultimately recommend a penalty that could cost the Patriots a future draft pick or picks if it verifies that the team was spying on the Jets.

"It's not their first time," a member of the committee, who did not wish to be identified, said.

This is interesting, but not necessarily surprising. I would have a hard time believing it was even remotely useful to do this sort of thing, as the ability to relay this sort of information can't be fast enough to actually use it.

Are you serious? "Hey Tom, we just got their signal, they are in Cover 2, so run the ball." "Hey Tom, they are blitzing on this play, so read and slide the protection to the side you see."

Yea, they have headsets in QB's helmets now.

If found to be true, and I think it is because they done it before and teams are looking out for it, they should lose all of next year's draft picks, not just one or two. If they don't have a pick in each round in the next draft, then take that round's pick off the following next year's draft.

They do stuff like this all the time. Their star defensive player also takes steroids. The media loves them - nothing will happen. It sucks, but the NFL wants them at the top and so does the media.

Wait a minute, which defensive player are you referring to and where did you hear he was on steroids?

Also, you guys are blowing this out of proportion. I guarantee every NFL team does things of a similar nature. Bottom line is they will ALL do everything they can get away to win games, that's just the truth. You're confusing lack of consequences do to media love with your own dislike of them do to media overexposure.

Their so called "camera guy" got caught in Green Bay last season. So it'll be interesting to see what happens. They may lose DP's.

And those headsets are turned off after the offense breaks the huddle. And they have them in middle linebackers' helmets too for any necessary change.

This seems like nothing more than when a team is accused of sign-stealing in baseball. You know what drastic action they take? Change the signs... lol
