DWinzit
Since we can post unnamed source info now : STRAHAN STILL A NO-SHOW A league source tells us that Giants defensive end Michael Strahan did not report to the team on Monday, despite widespread reports that he would. It remains to be seen whether Strahan shows up later in the week. We still think that Strahan is trying to get the team to decide that it doesn't want him back before coming back, in the hopes that he'll be traded or released. Stay tuned. http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm
DWinzit
If he does come in, it is going to take weeks for him to get into football shape! As long as he can avoid injury that is!

dockeryfan
He's back. And he probably won't pay all the 500K in fines he racked up. Players just love playing for Coughlin, lol. http://www.courant.com/sports/football/hc-giants0904.artsep04,0,2197435.story
DWinzit
They set down the fine amount per day, now they are going to let him off with at a reduced amount? He knew the deal, why bother making any rules? Dock you're right, he stayed away from Coughlin as long as he could and still play the season! McMetal
Great message to the team if they play the guy this weekend... He should sit for at least the first few games.
DWinzit
Giants reduce Strahan's fine by $314,000 and he is miffed! The Giants reduced the $514,000 worth of fines that Strahan had racked up this summer to $200,000 instead. The Giants were more content with the lower number than Strahan was said to be. He was, in a word, miffed.Yet the Giants attempted to turn the negative into a positive, challenging Strahan to show them something and prove he is worth more money in the future. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8020c63e&template=without-video&confirm=true
Mania
If I were the Giants FO, I'd try and get as much for Strahan as I possibly can.
DWinzit
I don't know about any one else but I have lost much of my respect for Strahan and Tiki over the past year. There are few rival players I can say I respect. It takes years for them to earn that respect and not too long to lose it! However it doesn't bother me that their comments and actions have hurt the Giants!
