According to JLC anyway:

BIO: Starter the past two seasons, leading the team in receiving as a senior with 51/545/5 and 40/587/5 the prior year.

POSITIVES: Consistent pass catcher best in underneath coverage. Sells routes, adjusts to the errant throw and looks the ball into his hands. Extends to consistently make the reception away from his frame. Throws his body around the field to make the catch and keeps the play in bounds running after the reception.

NEGATIVES: Not a big, strong or sturdy wideout. Lacks deep speed and a second gear.

ANALYSIS: Showing progress the past two years, Bodiford has an outside shot to make it as a fifth receiver in the NFL should he excel on special teams.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent

The Green Bay Packers lose WR Shaun Bodiford

Blogged under General, Injury Reports, Front Page, Bloglockers by dawgpounded on Thursday 23 August 2007 at 9:43 am

The Packers will be without WR Shaun Bodiford for 4-6 weeks with a MCL sprain. He could land on IR which would end his season if the Packers aren’t willing to wait for him. This is a shame for Bodiford as he was closing in on making the Packers opening day roster. He finished the pre-season with 2 grabs for 26 yards (13.0 avg).

Special teams guy -- return specialist and wedge buster.

Check out the background story: Strength to survive: Bodiford's Grit Helped Him Turn Life Around Everybody who coaches him loves him, apparently.

The Redskins must really love him. He strained his MCL on August 20 and was out 4-6 weeks. Link I guess the Packers were thinking about putting him on IR. He's not going to be ready to go for a few weeks yet.

That's a great story. Given Gibbs' focus on special teams, I'm not hugely surprised we found a roster spot for him.

Basically we need someone like Art Monk tall with great hands.

Dang........that sounds like what I need.

Oh lord.

Just dial 1-800-NEW-MONK. Guys like Art Monk are everywhere, falling off trees even. Why haven't we signed one? I'd like to know.

You can get one too, Blondie. I promise he won't be too hard on the beaver. :) You know, good hands and all. :silly:

idocracy over the 5th WR, a player who will probably never dress for a regular season game. I can't get used to the idiocracy of this board either.

yet people here were clamoring for Espy, who never showed much either. - Dropped 2 out of 3 passes thrown to him in pre-season.
