RedskinsScore
Every year I am optimistic about the skins, but this year is different I just don't have any complaints about the team. They made good decisions in free agency, the entire team is much more humble, coaches sound angry about the embarrassment the was the 06 season. This year it just seems right, we cut the dead weight( no matter how much we like some of these guys, they were around a little to long) and seem rejuvenated. hail skins

Smurf85
I feel good about the season for a many reason. Everything that our FO did this year was pretty smart. Picking up Fletcher and Smoot were both great moves. We didn't pay to much for either player and they both should be great additions to the defense. Then they drafted Landry which some of thought was stupid. I hate to tell you guys Landry is going to help us more than any defensive linemen in that draft. Last but not least is the resigning of Cooley. That was the best move by our FO. I am happy with every move the FO made this year and I can't remember the last time I could say that. So i expect a good year from this team. With that being said you never know. It could also be a bad year only time will tell.

The team made no huge effort to win the off-season this year. And with McIntosh and Campbell spending so much time at the Park in the offseason I think we are seeing some leadership from the young guys. Having Springs and PP back will also have a huge impact in the backfield. And the big move to retain Cooley was made as well. KUDO's JOE!
Touchdown Redskins
I have a great feeling about this year. Jason Campbell has proved to me that he has the work ethic and the talent to be great. All that work will pay off, and he will be a top tier QB in no time. How do you think Peyton Manning got so good?
Tarhog
I think we could really surprise some people - the expectations bar in the press has been placed so low, I think we could shock some teams. Specifically, I think our Defense could make the biggest season turnaround in recent memory.

honeydont
If youll recall the number of games we lost last year by 7 points or less>If our Filed Goal kicker comes through strong and the defense is solid all year long we win our home opener and 9 more games. And a playoff appearance. Yes I am optimistic-Always have been.
Wyvern
I've posted this same sentiment many times. In a worlds of 7-9's 8-8's etc, I keep thiink that we are going to land somewhere between 10-6 and 12-4. I just wish we'd get one more high-quality pass-rushing DE. That would really turn our defense into something scary. Then, I'd feel a lot easier about that "near 12-4" prediction.
Skins-in-CT
I am very optimistic about this season, although I am every year. You are right, this year feels different. I am a little concerned about the running game but I don't think we have seen even a small percentage of what they are going to do with it this year. Capt. Jack
I have a good feeling about this season. I also had a good feeling about 2005, but not 2006. We will be in the playoffs this year.
21KO
No, you're not. I had a very bad feeling last year during preseason, but not this year. I'm not going to curse us by making a prediction, but let's just say it's going to be fun listening to all the commentators that are already writing us off eat some crow. Ok, I'l make one prediction. Mason will make a big impact. There, now I've cursed the poor **** and CP will stay healthy and get 1500 yards. Win/win scenario. :helmet:
21KO
Oh crap, now I've cursed CP. Ok, CP will go down week 2 (knee) and Betts will get the 1500. Now CP will be fine.
21KO
Jeez...now I've cursed Betts. You know what? Forget everything. We suck and won't win 5 games this season. There.
LoudMouth12thMan
No, I feel great about this season but I also know that injuries and unforeseen obstacles can get in the way. I'm cautiously optimistic and will stick to my 8-8 prediction. I've also said this team has the talent to go 10-6 or better without a doubt but because our qb is starting his first full season and we're banged up a little I'll be happy if we play .500 football this year. Do I think we'll be .500? No, I think we'll be much better and in the playoffs and lead the division but I'm not going to be let down if we're not. :2cents:

All that work will pay off, and he will be a top tier QB in no time. How do you think Peyton Manning got so good? Speaking of PP. I saw him at the Original Steakhouse in Ashburn this Saturday. He was there to cheer on VT. Seemed like a pretty cool cat, though he and everyone else was callin for Tyrod Taylor to be put in during Glennon's disaster of a game. cozmikbuffalo
I believe a lot of Redskin fans feel the same way about this team and the change of attitude by this team to give the youngsters a chance. I was a Chris Wilson fan when we got him in January and I am glad he made the team and believe he will do good things here. I am really glad they didn't let Marcus Mason get away , he is a diamond for sure. Buzbee too is going places. Among the rookies and unrestricted free agents we picked up I think most of them will stick with this team in the future and be great contributors. Also I believe that we have the right mix in Alexander , Montomery and Golston to choke out the running game of any opponents. My biggest concerns are our inability to stop them on third downs and our secondary coverage in general. Now ,with any luck it's only because it's preseason. Overall though I see this team going 10-6 and playing with very strong momentum going into the post season. Trippster
I don't have a good feeling, simply because we still do not know how to force turnovers, nor capitalize on them when we do. No takeaways in the preseason. Our four down lineman cannot rush the passer either.

mistertim
I am very optimistic about this season, although I am every year. You are right, this year feels different. I am a little concerned about the running game but I don't think we have seen even a small percentage of what they are going to do with it this year. The running game concerned me in preseason too, but I think there were certainly mitigating factors there so I'm not going into panic mode. Our #1 RB wasn't playing and the left side of our O line was made up of an undrafted rookie and a mishmash of various experiments at guard. Don't get me wrong, Heyer definitely impressed and improved very quickly, especially for a guy who wasn't even drafted. I think he is going to be a great backup for Samuels. That being said, he isn't Samuels. I also think the addition of Kendall was a very smart move by our FO. He isn't a superstar and is getting up there in age, but by all accounts he is an extremely reliable player and looked pretty good in that first drive vs the Jags considering he had been a Redskins for about a week.
