Filet The Fins..LAST EDIT 1000 Posts..read The Rules!!

As long as we're looking to Filet the Fins, how about we Gut (Trent) Green? Yeah, it's a little harsh but I've never really forgiven him for bolting to the Rams and I love showing former Skins it was a mistake for them to leave.

Besides, ever since Super Bowl XVII I've taken pleasure in shutting up Dolphins fans. The charter bus from LA to Pasadena had a couple of loud, doofy 50-something Miami fans that kept running their mouth about Super Bowl VII and how the Killer B's and Andra Franklin were going to put the hurt on the Skins. They kept singing these stupid old-time songs and plugging in "Dolphins" or certain players names and it really got annoying. I was very proud of all of us classy Skins fans for tolerating them.

Needless to say, the ride back from Pasadena to LA after the game was pure pleasure. Those aqua-jersied old fogies didn't say a word and us Skins fans celebrated and sang our own song, you know the one, all the way back to the hotel. We did manage to throw a few needling questions to them, like "How 'bout them Killer B's?" and "Andra who?" and "Who the heck is David Woodley?".

Whenever we play the Dolphins, I alway think of those Miami fans and laugh.

Get that first win, don't phone it in like vs. Minn last year.

Wishful thinking prediction:

21 - 3. Portis two tds, one set up by an interception or fumble return by Prioleau, Macklin, Smoot, or Landry. One short td pass to Cooley.

Realistic prediction

13-9 in a physical nailbiter.

Go skins

Er..some "artistic" license taken for this thread. :halo:

I don't know what to say really. 7 days to the biggest battle of our ES lives all comes down

to next Sunday. Against the Dolphins. Either we heal as a team or we are going to crumble. Inch by inch, play by play,

quarter by quarter till we're finished. We are in hell right now ladies and gentlemen believe me.

And we can stay here and get the **** kicked out of us or we can fight and cheer our team back

into the light and into a winning season. We can climb out of hell. One inch at a time.

Now I can't do it for you. I'm almost too old. I look around and I see these young members and I think, I mean

I've posted every wrong reply a member can make. I uh, pissed away alot of my time fighting worthless fights.

Believe it or not, I've chased away some members. Chased away some of those that care for me and lately, I can't

stand some of my own replies. ;)

You know, when you get old in life, things get taken from you. That's part of life. But, you only learn that when you

start losing stuff. You find out life is just a game of inches. A game of chances. So is football. So is Blondie's game thread.

Because in either the game of life, football, or the game thread, the marging for error so small.

I mean. One half step too slow or too fast. One beer too many or one shot too many. One typo or a little late on the refresh,

and you don't quite catch it. The inches we need are everywhere around us. They are in every break of the game. Every

minute, every second.

On this team and on the Redskins, we fight for that inch. On this team and on the Redskins, we tear ourselves and

everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with fingernails, (except Blondie. Might break one), for that inch.

Because we know when we add up all those inches, that's going to make the frickin' difference between winning and losing.

Between being a homer or a "realist". Between drinking to forget, or drinking to celebrate.

I'll tell you this. In any fight or debate, it's the fan who is willing to cheer to the last, the player willing to play to the end,

who is going to win that inch. And I know, if I am going to have any life anymore, (such as it is), it is because I am willing to

fight and cheer for that last inch. Because that is what living, being a fan, and a player is. The six inches in front of your face, (or the monitor).

Now I can't make you do it. You gotta look at the fan next to you. look at that player on the field.

Look into their eyes. Now I think you're going to find someone who will go that inch with you and for you.

Who will sacrifice for this team,(or cheer even louder). Because they know when it comes down to it you are going to

do the same for them,(within reason of course and depending on who they are).

That's a team ladies and gentlemen. And either we cheer as one and the Redskins play as one, or we lose as individuals.

That's football people. That's all it is.

Now. Whattaya gonna do?
