Yeen80
Adam S. on the Total Access, said the skins are interested in trading for one of the Green Bay kickers. Personally I like Suisham. What the???? Why do we need to "trade" for a kicker? Suisham is just fine in my opinion. Knowing us, we'd wind up trading a 3rd or 4th round pick for a kicker.....you can practically pick up anyone off the free agent wire...why trade? HEavyJumbo85
Suisham won the home game against the Cowboys last season. I like him.Still not completely sure how to pronounce his name, though. Sweeeeze-Ummm
NewCliche21
BS Every agent mentions us because it automatically triples the contract for a player. Suisham's worst KO has been to the 5. We're fine.
hoskins
Well then sorry for the miscommunication...I heard it the other way. Yeah, the thread should be "Green Bay desperately trying to get something for one of their kickers the night before cuts." And Adam S. throws in the obligatory "and maybe even the Redskins" under his breath because the story had something to do with a player going from one team to another. Kind of like Leftwich going to Atlanta (obvious), or maybe even the Redskins.
onedrop
didnt Suisham make like a 48-yarder earlier this preseason?I like the guy indeed he did. and it would have been good from 58.

scottie
Sorry jimster, you were right, too. I like the ability to kick into the endzone, but now that I think about, squeeze-um has had some problems with accuracy in the past. Granted that I haven't been able to watch much of the preseason because of location, but has he really filled all of the doubts I remember reading about him with his preseason performance? I think he kicked very well this preseason. Kicks were on the money and had plenty of distance. And even kickoffs weren't bad. With the coverage we've had, opposing teams were finally starting inside the 20 a few times. I think one game the average was actually inside the 20. ceviker
Yes. US Americans kick better than countries kickers from Iraq and South Africa such as. South America, The Iraq, and The Asian Countries have nothing to do with this. I personally believe that the reason the redskins feel their kickers are not good enough is because they don't have any footballs to practice with.     He was taking about Miss South Carolina, ROU. F'n hilarious. If you haven;t seen it, youtube 'miss south carolina'.
throwback37
I saw the report on Total Access. He mentioned two other teams (NY and I can't remember the other) and then said something like "and maybe even the Washington Redskins."And it was the Packers contacting these other teams, not the other way around. The Packers just want to get something for a kicker they know they will waive tomorrow. Anyway, not a big deal. There was no indication at all that the Skins are actually interested in what GB is offering. Or that the Redskins "are trying to trade for a kicker" as the title of this thread says. Well, that's a relief.. I think Suisham has looked good since he's been here - plus it makes sense.. I wouldn't figure us sitting pat with no one but Suisham in camp, then bring someone in right before the season starts.

isle-hawg
This might just be another case of mediots throwing in the Redskins name whenever player movement (free agency, trades, etc) is being mentioned just because... I think you nailed it. POS such as Shine, Pastabelly, and Queen always want to point out the skins in some type of desperation/overpricing move. Pistolkid
I don't know why we would even think of to trade for a kicker. Suisham is pretty decent. Sure, he's no Jason Elam or Neil Rackers, but I like him better than John Hall when Hall was healthy.
Rodriggo
I wouldn't mind bringing someone in. We're ****** if we do and ****** if we don't. Kicking has been a problem here ever since Lohmiller retired. When you really think about it a good kicker is vital and we haven't managed to find a consistent starter. I mean the quality of your kicker can mean the difference between winning 10 games or 6. Suisham does not instill me with confidence but who's out there right now?
