fosback
Link here +++++ Redskins fans shouldn't worry too much about Jason Campbell this year. The third-year quarterback looks up to the job of playing the game's most scrutinized position in one of the NFL's most scrutinized markets. Campbell's 5-of-5, 54-yard, one-touchdown passing effort at Jacksonville on his only drive Thursday night was a preview of the good things to come. Not everybody knows a lot about Campbell just yet, but they will. ++++++++++++++
TheDoyler23
I_AM_SHOCKED. Don Banks seems to never say good things about the Skins. GO #17!
Touchdown Redskins
Yeah baby! Campbell to Cooley = Redskins in the playoffs (and me winning my fantasy league!)

mcarey032
A lot of media types are worried about Jason Campbell. Never in a millon year did I think that Jacksonville would cut Leftwich with less than a week to go in the preseason. He would be a solid back up and possibly could start for some team out there. He could probably start for the Chiefs. He should go to KC. They need some stability at that position. I guess they could sign Byron to vet con. with incentives. All that being said, it is good to hear that there more teams with uncertainty at the QB position other than the redskins and the redskins are getting some props. herrmag
Well, I can't believe I'm saying this, but shouldn't we wait until regular season to start going too nuts on Campbell? Banks is such a homer. :paranoid:
Redskin4ever
Maybe he should explain who Jason Campbell is to parcells and keyshawn. Apparently, the skins won't win a game because of Campbell.

While I agree with you that Leftwich could start for some teams, I don't think KC is a team in need of a QB. Damon Huard filled in nicely when Green went down last year. He's quite capable of leading that team. Further, the Chiefs have Croyle, also. And they have high expectations for him. I guarantee you KC won't sign Byron. SkinsManNJ
Well he had to jump on the bandwagon early so he didn't seem stupid later on down the road. Like Parcells and Key

Wyvern
Nice to know that Banks has got an inkling of what's going to happen. Frankly, I think you are going to watch a lot the Redskins-bashing media-pundits having to eat crow in early 2007. It's nice for this Redskins team be flying under the radar . . .for the moment. We won't be there long. Folks, this team has some depth and the painful September 1 cuts are going to show that. At this juncture, folks looking at the Redskins need to know that we stand the chance of acquiring the last-minute upgrades to provide the finishing touches. To my perspective: We are one pass-rushing DE away from having a scary defense. We are one big-bodied WR and one #3 TE away from having a really nicely balanced offense. We also have the #4 team's schedule in the NFC-East. I am surprised the media hasn't picked up on this. :koolaid: I'm still feeling good about my 10-6 to 13-3 season prediction. I'm getting sold on Campbell emergence as a bona-fide engineer of Al Saunders offense and we're one pass-rushing DE away from having a defense that can make things happen. ouvan59
I can't believe he didn't qualify his statement with some snide remark about Danny. He never seems to pass up an opportunity to rag on Danny.
