Truant
Mort just hosted a radio portion on ESPN asking Parcells and Keyshawn to give their take on the league. They started in the NFC East: (thank Tivo for the direct quotes) Parcells: "Well, to me, Chris and Key, the NFC East is a 3-team race. I don't think Washington defensively or the uncertainty at QB with Campbell... I just don't think they'll be able to compete with these other teams. I think they'll win games, I think they'll keep games close, but they gave up an awful lot of points last year and I don't see their defense being that improved based on their off-season acquisitions or their draft. So I think they'll be in the four spot." Keyshawn: "The Redskins, on the other hand, I think they are still trying to figure out how to play football. You have an owner there who can't stay out the mix, continuing to get involved. And I think that Joe Gibbs at this point and time, probably just wants to get this football season over with. Young quarterback, they don't want Brunell around, they don't want him to be the starter, bunch of young wide receivers that are small, not young, but smallish wide receivers. Their secondary and their defense isn't that great, they have a defensive coordinator that can get the job done. But they don't have the personnel that he needs and the players and the talent around him to be that defense that it was a long time ago in Buffalo or even a couple years ago in Washington." HEavyJumbo85
i can see the east as a 3 team race, but what exactly puts the Giants in that race? They lost their best player for pete's sake. Their BEST PLAYER. I just don't get it.
brown2hm
Holy crap that was the funniest thing I've read all day. I had no idea Parcells was so hilarious!
Taylor 21
Haha. Funny. They should get the perspective of a NON-Cowpuke player. I should have guessed what they would have said anyway.
jsevier
Someone needs to insert the photo of MeeShawn pushing the camera man out of his face after the 35-7 ass whipping they got in D.C. In the same post put a picture of Parcells standing below the scoreboard at the end. This is what happens when ESPN Dallas is part of the national media. That station has gone to hell now and they didn't have far to go anyway. Sickening just sickening. :puke:
bubba9497
I think they were confused they meant Dallas, not Washington actually, I think it is good they don't believe we can win, the more people doubt the better we play
herrmag
Other than Snyder gouging the fans over concessions, how is he continually getting involved?

Trying to figure out how to play football??, A owner who can't stay out of the mix??? These statements are so out there, they don't deserve a response! AngloSackSon
Parcells clearly has given up on being involved in this sport. The few times I've seen him at his new post, he has not shown that his knowledge of the state of things is current. Any opinion he has voiced seems to be a carry over from last season. My guess is once he left the Cowboys, his heart no longer was in football. This is disappointing to me. As much as I've loathed Parcells for his affiliations, his presence in the game will be sorely missed. The satisfaction 'Skins fans received from seeing that look of disappointment on his face after a loss, is irreplacable. The 'Skins appear to be a real sleeper in the league right now. Hopefully, opinions like Keyshawn's and Tuna's permeate the locker rooms of the NFC East...:2cents:

Touchdown Redskins
Wow, and to think these two were playing football last year. You would think their analysis would be a little more in depth or truthful than all the other ESPN analysts. They're essentially regurgitating pre-made statements that all of ESPN has used since Snyder took over the team. Very poor, but I guess that's to be expected from former Cowpukes.
