Im sorry i know this isnt exactly a great thread but ive been wondering this for a while. Are noise makers such as those blow up boppers not alloud in the NFL. If they are alloud why dont we have them?? Could be great for the "Be loud, Be Proud" campain.

i kept on hearing someone with a bullhorn at the Steelers game. I'm surprised they let the person in with that thing. I didn't think they were supposed to have anything like that. now i've seen people with the beer bottle and change noise makers and that seems to be alright.

I'm not sure whether the rules vary by the team or the league but while you can't get into RFK with so much as a party favor for a Nats game, you'd have no problem bringing flags, drums, probably even a canon into RFK for a DC United game.

Artificial noise makers of any kind are not permitted in the stadium.

http://www.redskins.com/fedexfield/stadiumguide.jsp

Please be aware that the following items are prohibited inside FedExField:

  • Bags, including: backpacks, gym bags, duffel bags, packages, briefcases, large purses, etc.
  • Food and beverages of any kind
  • Umbrellas
  • Bottles, jugs, thermoses, cans, coolers, or any other container
  • Animals (except for certified guide dogs assisting disabled guests)
  • Whistles, horns and other noise makers
  • Weapons, firearms
  • Illegal drugs
  • Folding chairs
  • Leafletting or distribution of any literature

Small purses are permitted. However, any purse and its contents must fit into a stadium measuring box, which measures under 4 inches in width, under 12 inches in length, and under 10 inches in height.

We have Dan Snyder to thank for that, as always. Guards will take away any bottled water or granola bars from you, and likely won't allow you to bring baby formula into the stadium either.

I'm surprised they don't dump handicapped people out of their wheelchairs and force them to buy one with a Redskins logo on it in order to gain admittance. Or rip the oxygen cords out of those inhalers some people use unless they cough up the $$$ for season tickets.

I think that you can probably bring in something to the game. Once a couple of my friends and I went down to Charlotte for the Redskins Panthers game and they allowed us to bring in kazoos. We played Hail to the Redskins when the Redskins scored TDS. It was pretty cool because he had a lot of the redskins band there as well. Unfortunately we lost that game based on that bogus touchdown that stephen davis got!

Also, if you add complete motionlessness to the complete silence, the unsettling effect would be magnified.

If only...

lmao can you imagine? From a roar to a tomb-like silence. No one moving. Crickets. Distant traffic. The hum of the blimp. A lineman farts.

None of those items make noise, though. I might be wrong (I don't have a whole lot of experience trying) but I'm pretty sure the Nats won't let you bring in any of the noise makers.

Mexican food makes noise, eventually.

Many years ago i started putting coins in the plstic beer bottels screw on the top and hit it on the seat.

lots of noise

I do the same thing. Put 3-4 pennies in an empty beer bottle makes an unbelievable amount of noise. I usually bring in a roll of pennies and pass them out to people in my section. What a racket.
